Chapter 14:
Goodbye Sora?
Yoshino's Point of View
I call Sora's phone, but no answer so I leave a message. "Hey Yoshino here, We will be at the mall in an hour, meet us there. Bye!" As I am about to put my phone away, I get a text. "Okay. Sorry, I was still sleeping, that's why I didn't answer." "That's fine."
We arive at the mall to a familiar voice. "Yoshino! Sakura!" I turn and see Sora running this way. "Sor-" I was in the middle of saying, but I stopped when I saw Sora do a face plant.
I ask "You alright?" "Yeah, I am just clumzy,that's all." "Really?" "Yeah." "Hmm... whatever. Let's go." She pulls herself up and we walk back to Makoto.
"This is Makoto. Makoto this is Sora. And don't you dare try to pull her into your 'harem' bull shit!" "Umm.... Hi, I'm Makoto. And don't let her fool you. I don't have a harem." "BULL SHIT!"
As we finish shoppng at the mall, Sora gets a phone call. "Hello?... what? No!" ...beep. "I'm sorry guys, but it looks like I am leaving sooner then you thought." "When?" Sakura asks "In a few hours." "What?! No way!" I start to pout. "WAIT! We haven't had the party yet!" "Then lets have it now!" I yell.
We head over to the nearest store and buy some cake and a few party hats. Then we set up for it at the park. (Only a pinic table)
"Happy goodbye Sora!" Sakura says with glee. "It sounds weird saying it, but Happy goodbye!" Sora replys. "Wait, it isn't goodbye just yet. We haven't even eaten the food." Makoto points out.
It starts to get late so Makoto walks Sakura home, then proceeds home himself. But I decide to stay with Sora for a bit longer.
"So, this goodbye huh?" I ask with sadness. "I guess..." We stand there in silence. "Yoshino..." "Huh?" "Thank you. Thank you for everything you've done for me to make me feel welcome." "No problem." "I-I don't know how to properly thank you." "Don't worry about it." As I finish saying that, Sora gets another call. "Hello? Mother? Ah... yeah I heard that I was leaving earlier from Ayu. Huh? What? No way!" She says with joy. "Thank you! Bye!" "Huh? What is it?" "I am staying!" "What?!"
"Yeah, my mother and father are getting back together and we are moving in with father!" "That means you will always be here! Yay!" She hugs me. "Now I can properly thank you!." She lets go of me. I am so happy! I can only imagine Sakura's face when she hears this. "Oh and Yoshino, I have been wanting to say this, but saw no point since I WAS gonna be leaving but since I'm not leaving I feel that I should say it." "Huh? What is it?" I ask with curiousity. "I love you!" She says grabbing ahold of me. "Wh-what?! Like as friends... right?" "No. I love you as a significant other." I blush. What am suppose to say to that?! I don't think I like her in that way. "It's okay if you don't love me back, so don't worry." She smiles. I smile back. Her face is just so... innocent. "I am sorry, really I am, but just don't feel the same way as you do." I'm not so sure that I ment that. "It's fine. As long as I can always love you and hold you like this, I will be okay." I pause a moment, Sora still attached to me. "Okay. But only when no one is around." Her face lights up. "Really?!" "Really." She grasps on to me even tighter.
"Okay let go before you kill me!" She lets go still smiling. I try to catch my breathe."Well... I'll see you tomorrow. I have to return home before my mom gets mad." "Goodnight love!" She replys
I walk in my room and strip into my night goan. I crawl into bed. "Sora..." I put my my hand to my heart. "Do I love her? No, I have a boyfriend... but... maybe I do love her..." I close my eyes and fall asleep.
