The days went by so quickly. Each and every minute that I spent with Niall, I wanted them to last forever. I was beginning to think that he really was 'The One'.
Niall kissed me gently on the lips and looked into my eyes. I swear there was a sparkle in his green-blue eyes. So beautiful.
"What are you thinking of?" he asked me, a slight look of amusion on his perfect face.
I rubbed the middle of his back, which I had my hands wound tightly around. I could feel the warmth of his body against mine. "I'm thinking of how lucky I am to have you and........"
"And?" he enquired, still amused.
"And....... I'm thinking also that you may be 'The One." his smile widened and kissed me gently again on the lips.
"Well, I knew you were 'The One' a long time ago' he said quietly. He was so good at saying sweet things and making me feel special. His words were like poetry. He didn’t even need to sing.
He played with a strand of my hair, brushing his fingers all the way down to the bottom and then looking me in the eyes again. A warm rush went through me again. We had been dating for nearly seven weeks now and I still hadn’t got over all the butterflies and warm rushes going through my body. This was a once unknown feeling to me. A feeling I had only just discovered. It was love. I was falling head over heels in love. Okay, not deeply in love, not yet. But still very much in love.
I smiled up at him, so happy to be here in his arms. I never wanted to let go of this feeling, to let go of him. "What are YOU thinking?" I said sweetly, poking him in the stomach playfully.
"Mmmmm....... Which thoughts do you want to know about?" he asked, his lips clamped together in a curved line. It should have been a straight line but the curve bit was the smile than never quite left his flawless face. He then added, "You see, I think many thoughts when I'm with you. In fact, even when I'm not with you, I still think of you." How did he do it? He had some special way of wording things and making me feel amazing! Yet another of his unknown gifts. I wondered how many there were. He was like one of those handsome princes that nearly every little girl dreamed of when their parents had tucked them up after a Cinderella or Snow White story. It was like magic. Better than any fairy story I had ever fantasized or dreamt of.
"Well maybe you could just tell me a few....." I suggested, stroking his blond hair.
He took my hand gently from the top of his head and held it in his. "Well, I think of how complete you make me feel and how irresistible you are......."
"Go on....." I said my smile widening by each and every word he had spoken.
"Okay then, I think of how good a kisser you are. How lucky I am to have you. How perfect you are in every way....." he stroked my cheek as he said these loving words.
I reached up to kiss him but he put one of his fingers to my lips and said, "Wait, I'm not finished yet!"
"Okay. What else was there?"
"Well, there's so many other things but I thought you might want to know this." he said smiling at me.
"What?" I said uncertainly.
He pulled me even closer to him so that he could whisper into my ear, his warm breath tickling me. "And.....I think I'm falling in love with you."
A fast rush of adrenaline went through my body and I moved my head quickly to kiss him hard on the lips. I pulled away, breathless. "I think I am too!" I said, feeling happier than ever.
He pulled me onto his lap, wound his arms around my waist and kissed me gently on the lips. I massaged his shoulders gently with my fingers and rested my forehead against his. We stayed like that for a while but then he moved over and I was lying on my back, him on top of me, we were kissing like we never had before. His lips and mine, moving together, tongues twisting. It was like a bolt of electricity going through my body, over and over again.
