"Guys, guys wake up. It's almost time." I shake Bryn, who's sleeping on the floor next to me. She opens her eyes and groans. I get up and everybody starts to wake slowly. I get up and roll up my sleeping bag. We all sleep in the same room, out own room in the orphanage. "Guys! We need to pack up!" I whisper. After that every one groans and gets up and starts packing slowly. I insight packing up except for the food. I sneak out and into the orphanage kitchen, grab some sandwiches, a big bag of chips, and some fruit and sneak back to our room. When I get back, everybody's ready and packed, we've all packed our blanket and some clothes. "Ok we're ready, let's go." I whisper. Everybody nods tiredly. One by one we climb out the window and quietly close it. Finally we're almost free, but not just yet. "Follow me." I tell everyone. We walk for what seems like forever since and then stop in the middle of the forest clearing. I count one by one. Bryn, Madison, Nick, Caleb, Eva, Noah, Aidan, Xavier, Mark, Matt, Makalah, Dalya, Hazel, and me. Ok 14, we're all here. "Ok, let's set up camp. Bryn, Madison, Caleb, Nick, and I will go get some fire wood, the rest of you unroll sleeping bags and get out some food." I say to the group. Me and my group go to the woods. "I can't believe we did it." Says Caleb. "Yah, it's sorta relieving, but then again we will be on the run for a while." Replies Eva. "We'll be ok. Okay?" I say reassuringly. Madison smiles. We return to the camp with armfuls of wood. "Let's dump it over here." I say putting my armful on the ground. Everyone puts their wood down in the place where I put mine. "Let's get some rocks." I say. Me and Bryn gather some rocks around the wood. "Can you get me my backpack." I ask Aidan. "Sure." He says going over and picking my pack with ease. He comes over and sets down the pack and sits with me, and smiles. I take out a notebook and rip some paper out. I put it on the wood and take out a lighter I found at the orphanage. I click the ignite and it sparks to light. I light a piece of paper and put it on the wood. It catches the other papers and after a while the wood catches as well. I look over at Aidan, his short brown hair messed up and all over the place. I run my hand through his messy hair and he smiles.
