I awoke with a start in my seat. Gathering my surroundings, I realized that the weird place was indeed an airplane. Then I remembered that my mom and dad were dead. That horrible sound... I was watching TV late at night when mom screamed so loud, I heard it from my room of old apartment 67, my home in New York. I ran to mom's room and saw dad lying on the floor, a knife in his chest where his heart would be, and mom's dark expressionless face. "This is all your fault. I wish you were never born, you piece of shit." Then she got her pistol that she kept in her droor in case of burglars and put it in her mouth. I realized what she was doing and reached out and ran, but it was too late. I heard a shot, then my mind went blank. Fuzzy memories of her eyes dark in their sockets, blood splattered on the wall opposite of her, and Ceci screaming; Mom's eyes though... Pure black with no irises, just black. I shuddered off the scary memory and nearly panicked when I couldn't spot Ceci. After 2-3 minutes of frantically looking around, I noticed her talking to a staff member. I walked up to them being 15 and all trying to act mature, which is a hard task to do when there's turbulence thrashing you around. I overheard them talking about Scottland. "It's a mighty fine area if I do say so myself. I was raised there, got me some good farming and cooking skills before I moved to crammy ol' U.S.A. Too crowded, I say" As I walked up to them, the man saw me coming and asked me if I needed any help. I told him that was my sister, and he seemed surprised. Oh, did I forget to mention me and Ceci look nothing alike? She has blonde hair, blue-green eyes, and is pretty tall. She's also 18. I have natural silver hair, and for some reason, my eyes change colors. Not in the way how some people say "Oh look! Your eyes are different shades today!" My eyes literally change colors. One time, I was talking to some girl at Starbucks for... Unneeded reasons, when she says my eyes were blue, and now their red. Then she left me alone at the table. My eyes are just like a dab of all the colors of the rainbow in water, but they don't dissolve, just spin around and crash into each other. People have always made fun of me for that, calling me gay or rainbow barf or a gay rainbow. I disregard them to my best, but it hurts sometimes. Anyways, I took Ceci back to the chairs and we watched some dumb Netflix stuff. We were fine, until we both looked out the window. Then we were more than fine. Green hills as far as the eyes can see, with a forest to the left and a distant shore... In the distance.
