September 21, 2010. Diane was on her Pandora radio app scrolling through different radios. She had already been into Mariah Carey and had stations for her. Diane stumbled across a recommendation that said 'Whitney Houston radio'. Diane had heard the name before and also heard the chorus of 'I Will Always Love You', but never really payed attention to Whitney herself. She added the radio and started listening. She really like her songs, but she really just fell in love with her voice.
Diane looked up some interviews oh Whitney and learned more and more about her. Then, on October 12th, she had known a decent amount of stuff about her and made a fan page on Instagram. Everyday after school she would run up to her room and play her favorite song, 'I Have Nothing' and do her homework. After her homework was done she would go on YouTube on her tv and watch her favorite music videos like 'how will I know' and 'I wanna dance with somebody'. Diane knew how much she loved Whitney, but wondered why and how she could gain such love for a person she didn't know in real life in such little time. But really, she didn't care because all she cared about was Whitney and Bobbi.
She would get made fun of and pushed around at school for her gigantic love for these two amazing people. One day she went home with a black eye, she ran up stairs without her mom seeing it and looked in the mirror and thought, she's not going to give up on Whitney, wether she feels pain or not.
Her mom eventually saw her eye and say her down to talk.. Diane made up a story about running into a pole. Her mom bought it.
August 9th, 2011, it was Whitney's birthday and to Diane this day was special so she took every second of it seriously. She went to school like normal, thinking today was going to be an awesome day! But... It's turned out to be the worst. Diane walked to her locker and saw someone had spray painted it saying "get a life". She opened her locker, everything fell out. Diane wanted to just kick her locker and scream but she maintained a positive attitude being since this was her favorite day. She went to her first period thinking nothing worse could happen. But turns out it could. When she sat down a group of girls came to her knocking her books off her desk and taunting her. She looked around and noticed the teacher wasn't there yet. She got up and swung a punch at one of the girls. She kicked the other girl in the stomach. Diane jumped on them punching them and telling them to never mess with her again. The other classmates tried getting Diane off the two girls, while the other girls of be group tried to find a teacher. The teacher walked in with a shock look on her face. "Diane! What are you doing!" She ran towards Diane and pushed her off the girls. Kiera had a swollen eye from Diane's punch and Narazi lost her breath from that punch in the stomach. Diane got sent to the principles. Once she got there principle Scour asked her why she did what she did. Diane tried to explain how they knocked her books and got all up on her saying "let's go, girl! Come one! You can't do anything! Come one! Fight me!". Principle scout believed every word and told her stories about those girls. Principle Scour noticed Diane's shirt had Whitney Houston on it, he started asking her questions like what's her favorite song and stuff. Diane really liked principle Scour. And she thinks he liked her too. But more than how much she liked him.
