Recap:

We all accepted our diplomas and the ceremony continues for everyone else. Afterwards, all of the families decided to go to this fancy Italian restaurant. I vlogged with all the guys including Luke.

I nudged Luke from under the table so he would look at me I texted him saying to meet me outside. He nodded. I excused myself from the table and went outside.

I stood out there a few minutes, Luke not coming out. I decided to go back inside, but once I turned around, he was standing there.

Valerie's POV

I froze, completely forgetting why I asked him to come out here in the first place. It took me about five minutes just standing there clueless until he said something.

L: Hey.

V: Um, hey.

L: Is there a specific reason you called me out here in freezing weather?

He said as a joke.

V: I just wanted to talk about everything, literally everything. I know we have to go back in there, but I really don't want to.

L: How about I go inside and tell everyone you're tired and want to go home. I'll drive you myself and we can talk.

V: Okay.

He handed me his car keys so I wouldn't need to wait outside. I unlocked and started up the car. He had a disc put in and music started playing.

Back in high school we used to take it slow

Red lipstick on and high heel stilettos

Had a job downtown working the servo

Had me waiting in line couldn't even let go

It all came back, my dream from months ago.

I was in a corridor filled with grey walls. There were many doors around me.

Every door was locked.

I hear music playing in the distance and try to find my way towards it.

Back in high school we used to take it slow

I keep trying to open any door, trying to find out where the music is coming from.

Cause I never wanna be that guy

Who doesn't even get a taste

No more having to chase

To win that prize

You're just a little bit out of my limit

It's been two years now you haven't even seen the best of me

And in my mind now I've been over this a thousand times

And it's almost over

Let's start over

Back in high school we used to make up plans

Called you up one day to meet split ends
