Chapter 11

Law don't know how to react to this. Hell, he don't know what his even feeling. He's speechless. His confused. Well, at least it isn't as bad as he thought but if you think about her other memories... 'Wait a second'

"You said you could know anybody's memories?" Law asked. "Yes" she said. "Then that person you told me about...the one with the cracked head. How did you get his memories if he's dead?" Law asked. 

"If the person who's memory I take would die in the next few years, I feel their death as well. And that person was my dad who I found after years of searching" she said.

Okay, that just made it worse... 

"Oh, and you wanted me to smile right?" she asked. "So what?!" Law shouted, angry that she still didn't get what he was trying to do. "Here," she said and smiled. But anybody could say that that smile  was faked. It was forced. And it had no emotion at all. It was empty.'Did she really think this half-assed smile is going to satisfy me?'

"There," she said,"now you don't have to worry about me anym-" but was interrupted by a slap from Law. She was a bit more happy at that, you could see that in her eyes but she said nothing. Law moved his right hand and grabbed Rin's hair at the back of her head and brought her face closer to his.

"You're not leaving until you manage to satisfy me, you hear that?" Law said with an evil smirk. Surprisingly enough, Rin's lips formed a smirk as well as she said,"I'm glad you are back to your senses, doctor"

Yup that was it. That was what Law really would've done from the start if Rin wasn't in the state in which Law found her. But what he didn't expect came next. Law's eyes widened as he stared into Rin's pale skinned face. 

"You..." he managed to whisper silently but Rin could still hear as Law's mouth was only inches away from her own. "What?" she asked raising an eyebrow. "You...you're..." Law whispered again and this time Rin realized what he was talking about. She moved her delicate fingers over Law's cheeks as she studied his face too. "So that's what.." she whispered as Law's grip on her hair loosened. 

-----------Backstory-----------

Little law was sitting around a cliff looking at the bright sky and ocean and thinking about his life.

Law P.O.V.

Damn that Corazon always bossing me around! He should just go ahead and die! But why am I alive? Lami, Dad, Mom and all my other friends died...I should've died too so why am I still alive?! What was my reason for escaping? Revenge. I'm gonna kill as many humans as I can but every time I do...I get reminded of them...damn it why is it always me?! Why do people around me have to die?! 

Tears fell down from his eyes as he remembered all the things he went through.  Suddenly he felt little arms around his neck and felt someone hug him from behind. He blushed veeery slightly as he realized it was a girl as she rested her head on Law's shoulder.

"Wha-what do you want?!" I screamed out. I don't anyone to see me like this! And I don't even know her! 

She nuzzled into his neck making his body go cold. But he turned serious when she started crying silently. 

"Oi oi, you okay?!" Why the hell is she crying? I slowly patted her head with my hand in an attempt to calm her. She looked up to me. "It really is sad..." she whispered. What is she talking about? "What is?" I asked. "Your past..." she said again.

The hell? Well, thank you for bringing back painful memories by saying that -I appreciate it. 

"Hell you don't even know my story" I said. She shifted slightly to get more adjusting to the position and gripped my neck tightly. "I do...Lami, Dad, Mom, Michael, Kiru and all m- i mean your- other friends..." she said with more tears and my eyes widened. 

"How did you know?!?! I've never even met you before!!" I shriek out only to be hugged tighter with her legs around my waist. She's smaller than me. "I know everything...all about you...I'm sorry" she tried her best not to cry.

I don't know why but I like her. She is the only who can understand me. I pulled her arms off my neck and quickly turned and shifted so I hugged her tightly. She had black hair up to her shoulders and black eyes. Yes, I know it makes me feel weak and vulnerable but I also know that she's not going to judge me, so I cried. I cried for hours in her arms with her patting my head slowly as she silently cried too.

It was time to part though. Time flies so fast. It was already night and I pulled back, still slightly watery eyes. Both our eyes were red. "What's y-your name?" I asked silently. "Rin" she gave a warm smile. 

I felt my cheeks heat up with warmth. I liked this girl. A lot. I don't know how or why but she understands me perfectly and it felt nice in her arms. "Can you promise me something?" I asked her. She tilted her head slightly and said, "What?" 

"Can you promise...to meet me again...I swear I'll protect you..." I stammered. "I promise!" she said lightly kissing my cheeks. "But in exchange promise you will remember me, and no matter what I become promise you'll love me" she said. "Of course" I said.
