Shadow Flight

Plagued scars of failing eyes,

A forest of silenced cries,

Astray among fallen trees,

Alas she wanders in calm ease,

hence her blind, nostalgic trance,

A splintered, melancholy plight,

Feet fluttering in ghost dance,

Her vision digresses in lost fight,

Lips whispering a forgotten song,

With diluted vision, she stumbles on,

Now vacant night with sullen trees,

A raven's cry through quiet breeze,

Alone she is, alone she will lie,

Tarnished feathers gone to fly,

With him goes her fading light,

The bleak sorrow of shadow flight
