9. Serendipity

I open up my message app and see that I have three text messages. The first one from Ashton then Cameron and surprisingly Liam.

I decided to open up Ashton's first.

Ashton: Hey Kenna you doing anything this weekend?

Me: Kenna?

Ashton: Gosh. I can't mess with you? So you doing anything this weekend my beautiful Sophia? Is that better?

Me: Aren't you full of shit. Wait that's because you are. Sorry not sorry. So far no plans that I'm aware of why?

Within minutes I had a reply.

Ashton: I like your sass. I was just wondering if you wanted to go out somewhere with me? I do owe it to you for standing you up that last time.

I roll my eyes in disgust. He's so full of himself. I can sass him however I want he just doesn't have to find it attractive.

Me: I'd have to think about it. Unless you want to bail on me now.

Ashton: No I'm serious this time. I want to hangout with you. So I'll pick you up on Saturday at 7p.m?

Me: Yeah, sure, whatever but this is your last chance to prove it to me.

Ashton: You won't regret it.

I left him on read. Great what the hell did I just get myself into.

I decide to open Cameron's text next.

Cam: Hey Soph, thanks for showing me around. And we have to talk about that spontaneous moment in the elevator.

Me: No problem it was my pleasure. What is there to talk about? I say with a winky face.

Cam: You're funny. I really like you a lot. So you have any plans this weekend? But if you do then I totally understand and we can hangout some other time. I don't want us to rush into things.

Me: No, No you're perfectly fine. I'm really sorry, but yeah we'll have to take a range check to hanging out because I actually have plans for this weekend. But how about next weekend? And this time you get to take me to any place you'd like around the city. Sounds good?

Cam: Sounds perfect by then I should have come up with a few ideas of places to take you. Enjoy your weekend and see you at school tomorrow. Thanks again for being a great friend to me ;)

Me: My pleasure see you tomorrow.

I blushed at the site of his winky face emoji and then realized I had one more text to open. Liam's.

Liam: Hey Soph, how've you been? Ive been thinking about us lately and how I really miss us.

I was a lot closer with Liam then I was with Meg because I knew him a lot longer. But if something ever happen to Meg I always had her back.

Me: I know I miss us a lot too! I've been fine, busy showing Cam around he's a really great guy. How are you and Meg? 

I ask out of curiosity. He hasn't talked about her. And since last I saw they weren't walking together.

Liam: We're doing good. We do have a lot of differences though. And when we mostly try to hangout we end up just staying home and ignoring one another. Maybe we just moved to fast idk.

Me: Meg can be a hard head sometimes but maybe if you talk to her she'll come around.

Liam: Yeah you're right. You doing anything tomorrow night?
