Right after that snobby dog of a leader left, I felt that connection between us tugging at each other, trying to keep us together. We were mates after all, which made it harder for us to seperate. We were meant to stay together. But even the stupidest of stupids would have realized how incredibly cocky that one was, and I had no plan whatsoever to add kindle to that fire of cockiness. In fact, that darn wolf could chase after me for all I cared. But inside, I could already feel what our seperation was doing to me, how lost I felt already, and how I really wanted him near me again, even if we were bickering. Even if he was on my nerves, and pulling on that short strand of patience I had. But I also forgot the fact that I was still Alpha, and I had no plans of changing that, even if I had a mate. No matter how hard it was, I had a duty, and that was to stay and lead my pack, and part of that meant to be serious whenever Storm pack crossed into our territory, even if the Alpha happened to be my mate. My gorgeous navy-eyed silver mate. Who had the most gorgeous abs I have ever seen, the sexy golden hair that he had. Oh crap. He was already taking his effect on me. Darn this whole mate business, I had things to do.
"Alpha, there are some Rogues lingering near our border." I heard what Luke, my Beta, had just said through our mind link. I let out a frustrated growl. First Storm Pack, now Rogues. Freaking dandy. I really was not in the mood for all these dimwits who think its fine to come onto the territory. My territory. Those poor Rogues, they would have to pay. They were supposed to be ruthless, I've heard stories of kidnaps and murders commited by Rogues. But they haven't seen ruthless until they've seen me. And trust me, if they were ruthless, then I was a complete demon. Especially when I'm terribly pissed.
"Keep an eye on them. Send about three more from the pack. Do NOT attack. That's my job." I replied to my waiting Beta. I swear, if any of them laid but a paw on any of those Rogues, I would go bloodthirstingly furious. Taking off in a sprint, I started towards the smell of Luke. About midjump in the air I shifted, ripping the clothes I had just wore a couple seconds ago. Shame. I liked that shirt. My Wolf was excited to be let out, and she kept her eyes trained ahead. My Wolf could be considered a beauty, with the blackest of black fur, contrasting against my pale blue eyes. I was midnight, I was my own shadow. Faster and faster, I could already feel the adrenaline fueling me, the readiness for the taste of blood. And then I saw them. Four of them, smelling odd, obviously not the smell of one who belonged to a pack. I often find it weird how some Rogues traveled together, despite they're hate for packs. Odd. But honestly, my Wolf was going berserk, and she was ready to clash. Out of the corner of my eyes, I spotted Luke, his Wolf bigger than mine, so that he had the advantage of being stronger, but no where near as faster as I was. Apparently, he brought my Third in Command, Trey, as well as another strong fighter from the pack, Beck. They were all strong. I was fast. We were a killer group of wolves. Literally. Making the first move, I dashed straight towards the biggest wolf of the circle of Rogues. He was obviously the hardest one to conquer. But he wasn't impossible. Especially for me. I growled loudly, surprising him before I bit into his coat of fur. Nasty tasting fur, for that matter. I swung my head side to side, trying to weaken him. Apparently catching on, the dense wolf finally responded, and aimed for my side. Hah. That was the lamest attack in history, because I was able to dodge, and clamped down on another area of his body before he could even touch a hair on my body. I clawed at him while biting, and dodged, bit, clawed, repeating the process til he gave up. Beck finished him off for me. My thirst for blood was satisfied, that was, until I saw another wolf pouncing at Trey. So they were going to play hard? Fine. I ran full speed and jumped, aiming perfectly and hitting the wolf mid-jump. Damn. I was amazing. I clawed at him until he stopped moving, and I landed a final bite before he was dead. Looking around, I saw the two other Rogue wolves, lying on the ground. Looking back, I saw three pairs of eyes, Luke, Trey, and Beck, all staring at me, astonishment clear in their eyes.
"Looks like someone had some steam to let off," I heard Luke saying through our shared mind link. I also heard a few snickers from the other two, as they agreed with Luke. Trying to hide my smile, I ordered them to shift back, as I did the same. Luke brought some clothes, knowing there would be a brawl, and amazingly, brought shorts and a tank top for me.
I usually wasn't this terrifying. Actually, I've never been able to finish wolves up as fast as I did back there. No wonder Luke made that wisecrack. That stupid Alpha. He was making me do all these things, feeling all these things. As we raced back towards the center of ShadowThorn, I realized that it was going to get worse and worse. Even as I was walking back towards my house. And then I smelled his scent. It was luring me closer to my house, but made me resist it all the same. And as I unlocked the front door and stepped in, I saw him sitting there, flashing his pearly whites at me. I let out a growl, while inwardly, I felt my Wolf purr.

Ok, sorry short chapter, a really short chapter actually :( So I'm really sorry about that. Buuuut, to make up for it, I provided some eye candy for the ladies on the left, of who I envisioned Jay to look like. Except with navy blue eyes. :D If you think anyone else would fit for Jay, please tell me in the comments! Also... comment on who you think she saw in her house!
