Okay, so let's get one thing straight. My name is Lina. I'm twenty-one years old, and I have never flown on a plane before. However, that little hiccup is not going to stop me from getting on a plane and going to see my best friend.

Everything is going according to plan. I had my bags packed last night and I am ready to walk out the door. I'm incredibly excited to be going on this little vacation. I haven't seen my best friend, Asaka, in over a month. She's been pretty busy with being Queen and all, and planning her wedding on top of that! Of course, she made the perfect call, asking me to be her maid of honor. I said yes, obviously. The show simply cannot go on without me present. So, without delay, I grab my bags off the floor and drag them outside onto the sidewalk. I return to lock the apartment up behind myself, checking to make sure the lights are off, the television is off, and the stove is off - I checked twice. With everything up to code, I run back to the car and shove my bags in the back.

I have to remind myself to drive the speed limit as I head to the airport. I'm nervous and excited all at the same time. I'll finally get to meet these princes Asaka is always talking about. I've heard plenty of stories, but there's nothing quite like the real thing I'm told.

I arrive at the airport and blow out a breath - it's busy. Good thing I already have my ticket, courtesy of Queen Asaka and King Jun. I find my terminal, sit down, and call my best friend. She answers after a few rings.

"Lina!" she exclaims into the phone. "I can't believe this is actually happening! I can't wait to see you. There is so much for you to see and so many people to meet! Jun is very excited to actually get to meet you - we sort of ran out of there last month." She's babbling.

"Asaka," I say. "I'm going to be getting on the plane soon."

"Right! Ivan will meet you at the airport to make sure you get to the palace safely," Asaka assures me.

"Great," I say. "That's the butler, right?"

"Yeah," Asaka says, but she sounds distracted. I hear a male voice in the background and assume it's her fiancé.

"My flight is boarding," I say, standing when I hear the announcement over the PA. "I'll see you soon, okay, babe?"

"I can't wait," Asaka says gleefully. She sounds just like a little kid. We say our goodbyes and hang up. I get on the plane with everyone else and find my seat. I'm instantly on edge, and I know this is going to be a long flight. But oh so worth it.
