And God said, "Let there be light."
Is that really where it all started? The infinite love between the sun and the moon?
It was rumored that the moon loved the sun with such power that he gave her more time to shine so he took the night instead of the day but in return, the sun loved the moon and gave him the stars at night so that he wouldn't have to be alone in the dark. I guess all love comes with a price but with a greater reward in the end.
A boy I once knew always hid in the shadows. They called him Seth. In this story, he is the moon. He didn't talk much and always stayed out of the way. Not many people knew he existed to be quite honest. Everyone had a light. His was faded. So dull you could hardly see it. At night, he would sit up and stare at the coil inside it and watch it flicker for hours on end. Night time was the only time that the light shined bright enough to see it. One night, Seth was sitting up watching his light like he did every night when a van showed up across the street. The house on the other side had been vacant for a long time. He pondered why the van was there and curiously looked out of his two-story window. He saw a bright yellow light come from the van, but it was too dark to see who the person was that had it.
Her name was Evangeline. In this story, she is the sun.
She looked up at all of the strange houses around her where she could see dim lights all around. Her eyes caught on one bedroom window where there seemed to be almost no light. She assumed that there was no one in that room so she turned to finish putting her things in her new home. Once she got comfortable in her room, she glanced out of her window and saw the light across the street flicker and she grinned.
This was the start of something new and exciting. This was the story of Seth and Evangeline. The sun and the moon.
