Is One Bite Too Much?

I am Ruby Emley Brook Barnes , I was born 19th century, I am a female ,i was born in a small city called Baycliff it is in England ,my mother's name is Beatrice , my father's name is ben but my father died a few years back , I have a little sister called Jenny , and a little brother called Benjamin. However , I was different to my family , I had something special, a treasure i had to keep safe And this was that I could inflict pain towards others. I did really like to use this power much . Well i did after ... it was 1939 and me and my sister was playing in the playing field and a strange man wearing a long , red and black clock walking up to me and my sister .
"What is your name Miss , I am John Willoughby leader of our kind." He questioned
"My name is Ruby Emley Brook Barnes." I explained
"Your power could be a great source of help to us ruby but only when the time is right you will become our kind ." He said . I look at but at my sister an back at him and he was gone.
"Should we carry on playing jenny , tag your it." I said .
Days went by , months went by , years went by .I still didn't get it , what did he mean' only when the time is right you will become our kind .' I was turning 17 year old . Still a no show from John . My family was become ill from the spanish flu . Then there was banging on the window . I looked outside to find a mob of people outside , screaming and shouting 'she is a witch ' at this time you could think anyone was a witch and they get kill even if they was not ,even though  I wasn't . I went outside . A man screamed ' get the witch and burn her at the town hall and take her family too and they can watch and learn from their mistakes  .'
" I am not a witch." I yelled trying to explain.
My arms was grabbed behind me and I was pushed to walk . I could see my family walking with me . I tried to escape but they just held on harder. I could see the town hall the sticks ready to burn me . I tried again .
"Please listen to me I am not a witch , I don't do witchcraft please listen . my family have nothing to do with this , let them go."I yelled at the top of my voice.
"Okay we will not burn them like you, we will let them pay the price for bring a witch in to this world."said the strange man .
He nodded at the men holding my family . He raised the shovel and smacked them on the head . Blood poured .
"Nooooooooo" I screamed .
They tied me up to the sticks , then poured gasoline on the sticks and set it alight .I started to cry and scream . I closed my eyes trying to use my power but I couldn't . It was silent .I opened my eyes . Everyone was dead on the floor , I looked up it was him John .
He explained " sorry miss I was so late but I shall look after you forever now ."
"What did you mean 'Your power could be a great source of help to us ruby but only when the time is right you will become our kind ."I asked
"Oh yes you won't feel a thing miss but just let me do what I need to do okay ." He announced.
I closed my eyes and opened them again that was it .I felt burning in the back off my neck leading to my back  , I couldn't move I was in pain .minutes went by . It stopped I could no long feel pain .
"You are a vampire ,you can't tell anyone or you will be killed  at the volturi hall .you are going to meet the other in moment just get your thirst under control ruby ." He explained.
I am not going into detail of my hunting but we drink human blood.i was born to be a vampire leader he said . Days went by , months went by Years went by . It was 1986,  I was sent off the work . To kill the vampire who has been killing animals nearby . But when I got there . He didn't seem that bad .
"I am sorry for the trouble I have caused miss , do tell what is you name ." he asked
" my name is Ruby and you are ?"
" Oh yes how rude I am Marcus , how long have you been like this ruby ." He questioned
"53 years and you Marcus .how can you stay way from human blood ."
" 150 years to your first question , well lots of practice , I could teach you ruby but only if you leave the volturi because the volturi are showing the wrong way ."
"I don't know , urm yes OK I will ."I said.
"Follow me to my house to let the learning take place ."Marcus asked.
"OK after you Marcus ."I agreed
We both started to run .It felt good to run again . I felt human .he stopped .
"Well here we are my good , old home , there is a spare room if you need it . Well you don't do much sleeping I guest .well make yourself at home." Marcus agreed
"Thank you ,I have never met someone like you , a kind and gentle person of our kind. Well if there is anything I can do to say thank let me know , I will do it ."I explained
"Well go hunting  as a vegetarian for a start if you want to be like me ."said Marcus
"A vegetarian. " I questioned
"we will not eat humans , I call it vegetarian,  even though it is not ."
