I walked into the library again but this time I was miserably sad. I couldn't explain the burning feeling of sadness that was in the pit of my stomach if my life depended on it. Even the quite sound of the library reminded me of her. My girlfriend of two years decided it was a good idea to cheat on me with the biggest jock head of school.
I sit down and don't even look up to see who else was here. Quite frankly I didn't care. I start to eat my lunch thinking of all the memories I had with her. Our relationship wasn't the average one, we didn't spend much time together, and we even only ever had sex. But to me that just just doesn't give her the right to cheat.
I continue eating but was stopped as soon as I heard that obnoxious smacking and popping that I had heard the day before. I look up to see the same girl but this time with a different book and her hair up in a ponytail. I look at her staring at her like I was trying to figure her out. She had beautiful freckles covering her cheeks with stunning blue eyes. She continued to smack looking dead at me. I rolled my eyes and she gained a smirk smacking louder.
I come to the library everyday to enjoy lunch and now she's making that impossible. I look at her again but her eyes were already back on the book. I sigh checking the clock noticing I only had 10 more minutes before I have to face the most beautiful girl I've ever seen, Nicolette. My now-ex girlfriend.
I get snapped out of my thoughts again with the smacking, just like before. I sigh again looking at her. She was looking down at the book pulling the gum out of her mouth between her teeth and putting it back in her mouth. The bell rung and just like yesterday she disappeared out of the door again.
She was one annoying, mysterious, beautiful, girl. And I kinda liked that.
