Curiosity was eating me alive. I needed to know more about that girl, I needed her. I spent my whole weekend worrying if the poor girl was okay from the Friday before, and that was very unhealthy. I never felt the need to talk to someone so bad until I met her.
I walk into the library the cold air hitting me. I breath in the mint smell sitting back down in my regular seat. The girl was there sitting like usual with a different book. Her wounds were a lot better since its been over the weekend.
I put my lunch down eating a few more bites before looking at her. She put three packs of gum in her mouth smacking, like she always did just to annoy me. "Hey, can you tell me what happened Friday?" I ask. She looked up from her book staring at me.
"I don't want to talk about it." She sighed blowing a bubble and popping it with her nails. "Why are you always popping your gum?" I ask after a long period of silence. "It distracts me." She simply said. I didn't even know what she meant by that, but her face distracted me so much I almost forgot that I should ask what she needed distraction from.
"From what, your a pretty quite girl, what do you need distracted from?" I ask fiddling with my thumbs. "Life." I tilt my head at her answer but before I could question it the bell rung and she ran out and a note fell, like everyday.
