It was just another overcast day in Buffalo New York when Johnny Michaels graduated from high school. Immediately after his graduation, his parents Roy and Susanne Michaels both congratulated Johnny. With tears in her eyes Susanne said "Johnny you don't know how proud I am of you right now". Smiling, Roy said "you've come a long way and you've earned it son". In a more serious matter, Roy said "now have you thought of what you're going to do now"? Johnny simply replied, "I'm joining the Army". Surprised, Roy and Susanne stated "but what about college, and all that time you put into school"? In a casual way Johnny replied back, "I understand how you two feel, but I'm going in the forces". Then in a powerful matter, Johnny sauntered away to his girlfriend, Betty. He loved her so much, she was just the perfect girl. A nice body shape, light brown eyes, a perfect face, and her light brown hair. They both kissed in a somewhat passionate way and immediately began discussing about Johnny going into the army. "Why though, why?" She was about to start crying. "Look I know this is tough on both of us, but I go to recruitment in a month, Betty." The wind started to blow in a lonely matter. "I promise I'll write to you and talk on the phone when I get the chance." Betty cleared up and replied in a trustful way, "Okay". Later at the dinner table of  the Michaels' residence, things were quiet. Roy was the first to speak. "Johnny, I'm sorry I got upset with you earlier. It's just because I love you." "Same here." Replied Susanne. "I completely understand, I love the both of you guys so much. I go to Basic training in 1 month . Also, when I get the chance I'll write to you both and call." Susanne began to cry. "Be careful out there, if they send you to Vietnam". "I will." Johnny said with bravery.
