His mother hissed at him like a snake, he dared not to glance at her, knowing all too well of the deathly stare that awaited him.Akaashi remained silent and looked over his notes for a split second, managing to take a deep, steady breath.
I can do better...Can't I?
"What are you waiting for, Keiji? Last three measures, chop, chop."
His mother spoke with venom in her voice, the life-threatening liquid almost overflowing.
"Yes, mother"A delicate tune filled the silence.
Keiji's shoulders relaxed as he melted into the notes, his eyes closing softly has he recited the last measure.
And he stopped -- the piano cut off and the silence resumed.
"Hmph...
Disappointing."
His mother muttered as she walked off into the next room, her posture straight and filled with greedy pride.Keiji let his hands slide off the keys, falling limply to his sides as he let his head join the limpness.
He was a screw-up.
