First & Last Kiss

When I had my first kiss

It took me by surprise

It wasn't exactly bliss

But it opened my eyes

I was just a child then

And I was very shy

Then it happened again

Now years have flown by

I'm an old man now

And through time I upgraded

I can't remember much

The time I was degraded

Lightning had struck me

Pierced through my heart

I was blinkered, couldn't see

She didn't love me from the start

She messed with my mind

Said things were ok

But love is blind

Or so they say

I looked for somebody else

Searched for 'the one'

But I found myself

Where the first kiss had begun

All those years in font of my eyes

You were there from the start

But I was eager to move on

And steal another's heart

We've lived our lives

So much little time left

You had a husband, I, two wives

I did my worst, you did your best

Love can be blind

You've forgiven my past

But true love is a find

And your kiss will be my first and last!
