How I Met the Alpha (on hold)

Moving Day

"Mom do we really have to move during the last week of summer? You know I could be doing other things!"

"Really like what Caden?"

"Well like, sleeping, eating, going out with my friends, telling them goodbye."

"You can do those things after we put all of the boxes in the car."

"Fine."

I go up to my room to find that there is only five boxes left. I really don't want to make a second trip so I grab two. I tried getting the other three, but failed many times.

"ALYSSAAAAA!!!!!!"

"What!?"

"Come help me!"

"Ughhhhhh, fine, but you owe me one."

I was waiting like 10 minutes for her to just walk upstairs to my room.

"It really takes you that long to get up here?"

"Do you want me to help you or not." She said while raising her eyebrow at me.

"Yes." I said flatly

"Ok then, stop complaining. So what do you want me to do?"

"Could you pretty please take these three boxes to the moving truck for me? If you do I'll do a day of your homework."

She squinted her eyes at me trying to decide whether to agree with me.

"Hmmmmm........plus the math?"

"Yeah sure fine."

"Ok I'll get the boxes."

"THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!"

"Welcome."

I wait for Alyssa to pick up the boxes and I walk downstairs into the living room and outside to the moving truck.

"MOM! I am all done packing and putting my stuff into the truck"

"Okay, get in the truck we are getting ready to go!"

I was really sad cause I didn't want to leave my friends that I have known since I was 10 and now I am 16. The house that we lived in was huge, but now that our stuff isn't inside there anymore it looks so weird. The whole house had cream colored carpet. Except for the bathrooms and kitchen of course.

I snapped back to realize that I had to go tell my best friend Kara bye, or she will. 'hunt me down and pull my teeth out one by one then tie me to a tree naked.'. I really don't want that to happen cause then I will get called in school as 'the girl with no teeth' or 'the girl that was tied naked to a tree'. That is not a good impression for going to a new school or meeting my new neighbors. I walk down the street passing about ten houses when I got to my best friends. The outside of her house was a cream color. I walked up to the door and knocked on it. It took about 5 seconds for someone to open the door and I look up and see Kara's mom Elise. She had hazel eyes like Kara but her hair was black, so black it almost looked blue. Kara's dad Jacob had dark blue eyes and his hair was blond, actually more like a dirty blond the same Kara has but hers is a shade darker.

"Hello Caden."

"Hey Mrs. Johnson, is Kara home?"

"Yes, come in, she should be in her room."

"Ok thanks."

I walk in and quickly ran up the steps and into Kara's room to find her laying on her bed with her headphones in her ears. I tap her knees to get her attention she sits up and looks me in the eyes. I can tell that she has been crying cause the top of her cheeks and the tip of her nose was red. I felt so guilty for leaving her cause I have known her for so long. It wasn't like we weren't moving for a reason. My mom just couldn't handle being in the house that reminded her of my father so much and to make it worse I was the only one in the family that had his eyes. So everytime I looked at her I could tell it hurt, it hurt me too seeing her like that, but I just couldn't leave her.

"I am going to miss you so much." She said on the verge of crying again

"Please don't cry, I don't want my last image of you to be you crying ok."

"Okay."

I grab her by her shoulders and brung her in for a hug and a long one too. I was about to say something that might have cheered her up, but I was cut off by a horn blowing outside. It was my mom driving the truck telling me to hurry up.

"Well, I will miss you girl and I will try to update you on what happens everyday I am gone."

"Ok see you round."

"Bye! Try not to chop anybody's balls off while I'm gone!"

"I can't promise that."

I walked downstairs and exited by best friends house that would be the last time I see her. I would be moving to a new school called North High. I get in the car and my mom drives onto the highway. I start thinking, wondering if the people there would like me. Or that I hope that I don't make a fool of myself on the first day. I was really tired from moving all those boxes today and my arms were really sore. I had slowly drifted off to sleep and was wondering what kind of friends would I make when I was there.

So that's the end of chapter one sorry it's so short I was hair trying to get it done. I was so excited about this book. So.....um........yeah!
