I thought life as….

Life is a constant change. We were once born, grow and live then get weak and die. We seem to be caterpillars that live for a very short span of time. But, since we embrace the fact that later on we will be changed and live once more as a glorious dazzling butterfly, then our faith moves us up to do things that can truly help us gain another lifetime.

A very wise Preacher once stated on his book entitled Ecclesiastes this thinkable passage,”People come and go, but still the world never change,“This statement of Him gets an agreeable response from me. In almost two decades of my existence I can barely testify, base on what I had experience that this passage is quiet true.

Isn’t this already happened before?

Things tend to repeat every now and then. It seems to be like a daily déjà vu that never ends. We keep on doing, like what our aborigines had done before, similar things but still its effects are the same. The only difference is that we are living in unlikely different time.  We stored and stored something which we taught valuable to us yet in the broadest sense all of it is just of lesser worth compared to the undeserved graces that came from the Lord. Commonly these things are the earthly things that usually tantalized our eyes. We are often captured with its beauty and start to embrace the temporary happiness that it brought. We keep on desiring for good fortune, big houses, wonderful careers or success in life and etc. that we taught can satisfy us. We love to have all of these materials things that we taught are the most pleasurable things we can have while staying in this world. Yet, we don’t notice that these things we had start to value and treasure are just a bit of a centavo coin compared to what we can store up in heaven.

Getting into life…

The Preacher once also wrote this passage “We work and do wonderful things just because we were jealous of others.” Yes, it is good to do hard works in order to live a life without starving and of course to have a fruitful experience here on earth. God had told us that if He entrust or give us something it is our obligation to make it productive. Meaning if we are given a particular ability then we must develop it, let’s make the best thing that we can in order to improve that God given talent not only for our own sake but also to use it as an instrument in glorifying the Lord. By doing that we may able now to share God’s goodness to others especially to those who needs our help the most. Go back to the passage, isn’t the Preacher correct in his statement? Or no, he is right? Now, try to examine yourself. Imagine the things you want to attain 10 years from now. Then ask yourself, “Why do I want that dream? And why do I want to aim for that? I answer you, Is it because you see other people achieve those things? And thus, you are inspired and want also to experience that happiness they felt while having those? I am not telling you not to dream because I believe if you have dreams to fulfill you are motivated to work harder. What I care about is the fact that most of us are aiming for a certain dream to come true because of personal purpose. Some of us only follow what our own desires wants and everything that can only please us. Now I tell you that the Lord doesn’t want that to happen that way. He already plan who we will be since then when we are not yet given the breath of life. All we have to do is to follow that path in order to fulfill our mission which tantamount to pleasing the Almighty Father. Remember, what we become are the product of our own choices. In making a decision I hope that we will always remember this thing: Which future would you like to have? Good or bad?  And it’s up to you. Do not also forget that the path the Lord had already planned for us is best path for us to grow and develop as true followers of the Lord. Then you ask, “In what way do I am able to know which path God had choose for me? That question can only be answered if you have deep faith and continuous connection with the Lord. Day by day it is important for us to ask His guidance in order to receive the gift of understanding His divine will so that we may able to take on the right path. How? It is through prayer with faith. Prayer alone cannot lead us to the concrete answer that we are looking for but through prayer with faith, guidance and enlightenment will surely come in our way which definitely leads us to right decision. It is also important that while crossing that path to holiness we must not go in hurry for by doing so we might just fall. Do not get worried about the past for we might just get overloaded with resentment and can’t escape from it. Do not daydream for the future for we might just expect for something and at the end get disappointed if not achieve.  Let us enjoy life, have fun while waiting for the Lord, and also take our time while staying here. But, enjoying doesn’t mean doing everything we desire remember God is 24/7 awake and He sees everything we do whether in public or in secret. Above all let us not forget to always keep our track to the Lord. Let us never ever lose our tie with Him. That for me is the true essence on how we can get into this life’s challenges.
