-His POV-

There they go, again.

I bit into my chocolate bar, tearing my eyes away, as if I didn't see them.

He put his arm around her slender shoulders and led her down the hallway as they talked, happily, not noticing the presence behind them.

That presence? Was me.

I couldn't help but glance back at them as they left campus. Letting out a soft sigh, I closed my locker and made my way to the exit.

-Her POV-

I had been going out with him for awhile now, and even though we had went on a couple of dates already, somehow.. it just didn't feel as magical as when I spent time with my best friend.

This guy.. he had onyx hair, just the exact opposite colour of my best friend's. His eyes were warmer than my best friend's. And yeah, sure. The way he looked at me took my breath away. However, it still didn't feel quite as right. He didn't bring me to the top of the world the way my best friend could.

Today, I was walking down the hallway with my boyfriend. I walked past class 1A. There he was, eating a chocolate bar as usual. As always though, he avoided my gaze and turned away. Why does he do that whenever I tried to talk to him?

When did this tension start?

-

They were probably long gone by now. I finished up my chocolate bar, discarding the wrapper in a bin right outside the school gates.

I wish she knew.

Walking home alone as usual, the sun had already started to set.

I was just a friend to her. Nothing more.

And I knew that it was impossible for me to be anything more.

So... Why do I still feel this... pain?

I stopped, smiling up at the sky ever so slightly.

I guess this is why I love her. Besides the way her long silver hair flew in the wind, and the way she smiles at me whenever I make a stupid joke...

...the way she makes me feel is why I'm in love with her.

I continued on my way home, kicking a few leaves out of my path.

Today was like any other day.

-

He took me out for dinner today and he looked absolutely stunning as usual. After the dinner at some fancy restaurant which I now couldn't conjure up the name of, he took me to the park, claiming it was just going to be a simple walk. A breather, since it had been a stressful week for him.

I had been frozen by shock when he actually tried to feel me up and claimed that we should do "it". Just like any other couples would.

With a mind filled with confusion, I immediately bolted and started running. I wasn't even sure where I was headed until I reached his doorstep.

-

I opened the front door, stepping into the empty apartment.

Throwing my bag down on the couch, I swung myself over the backrest, falling onto the cushions beside my things.

It had been quiet in here for a long while now.

The last time I had another soul in here was when she... hadn't met HIM yet.
