Girl Meets Bad Boy

(Maya's POV)

I was going to be late for my class on my first day at this new High school. I finally found the right class. I walked in and everyone looked. "Oh you must be Ms. Hart?" The teacher asked. "Uh yeah that's me." I said.

"Well, your late please take a seat." He said. I nodded and went to the back of class. I sat down next to a guy with dirty blonde hair. "Ok so today...." The class went on then the lunch bell rang.

I got up and went to lunch. I got my food and sat at an empty table. Well since no one is sitting with me I should introduce myself. I'm Maya Hart. And as you can see I have no friends. Someone cleared their throat.

I looked up and saw a boy and a girl. "Hi, I'm Riley and this is Farkle. Can we sit with you?" She asked. "Uh yeah sure." I said. "I'm Maya." I said. "Nice to meet you." Farkle said. "What do you have next?" Riley asked.

"Math." I said. "Yay! We have Math together." Riley said. "I have History." Farkle said. "I have that after Math." I said. "So do I." Riley said. I nodded. I finished my stuff and went to go throw out.

"Maya." Riley said. I raised my eyebrow. "Be careful your going to pass Lucas's table." She said. "Who's that?" I asked. "He's a bad boy, he's one of the baddest kids in this state." Farkle said. "Oh, I'll be careful." I said.

They nodded and I through out. I bumped into someone. "Oh sorry." I said. "No it's my fault. I wasn't looking- hey, your Maya right?" A guy asked. I looked up. It was the same guy that I was sitting next to. "Yeah that's me." I said.

"I'm Lucas." He said. "Nice to meet you." I said. He smiled. The bell rang. I walked over to Riley. "Hey ready?" I asked. "Yeah come on" she said. We walked to the class and took our seats. Class started and there was one next to me that was empty.

The door swung open. Lucas came in. "Mr. Friar your late." The teacher, Mrs. Smith said. "Yeah." He said. "You have detention." She said. "Whatever." He said sitting down next to me. I looked at him and he winked at me.

I felt butterflies in my stomach. I turned back to the teacher and then soon class ended. I went to my locker and Riley told me she would meet me at history which is room 220. I put in my combination but it would open.

The final bell rang. Damn it! I'm going to be late. "You need some help?" Someone asked. I turned around and looked up and saw Lucas. "Yeah." I said. "Here put in the combination." He said. I put it in and he slammed. It opened.

"Thanks." I said. "Sure, what do you have next?" He asked. "History." "So do I want me to walk with you?" He asked. "Yeah that would be nice." I said. He smiled. There we go again the fricken butterflies.

We got to class. "Mr Friar, Ms Hart your late." The teacher, Mr Matthews said. "Yep." Lucas said. "Detention both of you." He said. I sighed and sat next to Riley. I gave her a 'I'll tell you later' look. She nodded and we turned our attention to Mr Matthews.

*After school*

I walked to the class room that detention was in. I sat in the front and my mom texted me.

Mama: honey where are you?

Little Penguin: I got detention

Mama: What?! How?

Little Penguin: I was late to class.

Mama: Alright see ya later love you

Little Penguin: Ok love you.

I laughed and put my phone in my pocket. Lucas walked in and smirked. He pulled up a chair and sat next to me. "What's up?" He asked. "Nothing much, just waiting to get out of this hell whole." I said. He chuckled.

"Wanna do something fun tonight?" He asked. "Sure." I said. "My friend is throwing a party tonight at 10, wanna come with me?" He asked. "Uh... Yeah why not." I said. "Great, can I have your number to text you?" He asked.

I took out my phone. "Luke Hemmings?" He asked pointing to my phone case. "Ok just because he's dating a bitch doesn't mean I still don't love him." I said handing him my phone. He chuckled.

He gave me his phone. I put my contact as 'Mayabæ' He handed me back my phone and then he introduced me to all of his friends.
