"So you want to play it like that?" Niall's blue eyes pierced mine as he entered the dining hall. On the side of his neck he has a giant bandage, covering what I assume a bite from one of the snakes.

"What do you mean?" I smiled like I was clueless.

"I mean the poisonous snakes in my cabin." His words slightly entangled by his accent.

"They couldn't kill you." I defended. "Besides, you said no rules, remember?"

"You're right!" His face brightened up at an idea. "I guess we'll be even soon." He smirked.

"May I remind you, you were planning on leaving  me out in the middle of the woods."

"And you tried to poison me." He shot back.

"Arrgh!" I groaned.

"Did you hear about Melody? Someone let bees into her room." Niall sat on the bench next to me.

"What?" I tried to act surprised. Deep inside, I was still regretting last night. I honestly feel bad for her.

"Don't act surprised, I know what you did last night. It's no coincidence we were all attacked last night." He shook his head while he held a disgusted look.

"I'm not proud." I shied away, feeling my cheeks burning.

"Well she's still pretty shaken up, but," he turned to look me in my eyes,"I won't tell." A smile spread in my face, as relief courses through my body. "So, want to tell me about Amy?"

"You heard?"

"Jessica and Nevaeh made you sound like the villain in their version of the story." He chuckled.

"Of course." I sighed.

"Why would you attack her?" He actually sounded like he was defending her.

"Are you siding with Amy?" I shook my head unbelievably. "You don't even know what happened!"

"Sure I do, your Dumbass and smartass kicked in at the same time."

"I suggest you watch your back. Pranks are gonna hit all five of you hard." I warned before I got up, threw away my tray, and walked out of the dining hall.

The sun blinded me for a second as soon as I stepped outside. It felt like the world was on fire.
Fire. That gave me an idea. Maybe Niall needed a tan.

I turned around to go back to the diner. If anything Mari was going to help me with pleasure.

When I walked back inside, my eyes scanned the room and landed on Niall and Amy talking. She was twirling her hair in her fingers, smiling at him watching his every move.

Behind them, Mari was in the little window where the food was served, wearing a hairnet.
Her eyes looked droopy, but that just meant she was bored.

"Mashed potatoes?" She held up a a scooper.

"No. Tonight, we're going to town." My voice was low.

"Ooooo, big bad wolf huh?" She joked.

"They're gonna get us. We have to act quick. And Niall knows about last night." My breath was shaky at the thought of a possible second major infraction.

"He's not gonna tell, right?" Mari leaned in.

"He says he's not." I wanted to believe he wouldn't tell. But I was also afraid, something would persuade Niall to tell.
