|Andy|
The next morning was a bit awkward for the two of us. He was still outside and I felt no urge whatsoever to let him in. What he'd done the night before was unacceptable. He'd tried knocking several times and I still had yet to let him in.
"Andy, come on, let me in. We need to talk." I finally sighed and let him in, trying to keep as much space between us as possible. He looked cold, not that I'm sure I really cared. I would've probably let him freeze at that point. "We're supposed to be talking."
"I have nothing to say."
"Andy, don't do this to me. We have to stick together."
"I'm not the one who made it kind of hard for us to stick together."
"Listen, I'm sorry. I was pissed, I didn't want to hurt you, so I went and got myself drunk and I made a few mistakes."
"A few? A few? Are you kidding me."
"We all make mistakes, don't act so high and mighty."
"I'm sorry I've never had drunk sex with multiple people in a night because I was pissed."
"I'm betting you've never had sex, period."
"You're right I haven't."
"I... dammit how do I keep messing this up?"
"Because you don't know when to filter what to say, you just say it."
"Well, I guess I know what you think."
"And you're a sarcastic little shit."
"You're friendly in the mornings, ain't you."
"Ain't isn't a proper word, and you're not very friendly a lot of the time."
"Are you-of all the things we could talk about, you point out that ain't isn't a word?"
"Yes."
"Need to check you into mental institute."
"Out, Minter."
"Well. shit. Andy."
"No, out."
"Nope.
"Simon, I said–"
"I know what you said. I'm not going until you're out in the car with me."
"Then I guess you're going to be standing there for quite some time." I stormed towards the stairs, but Simon grabbed my arm.
"Andy, what else do you want me to do. I've said I'm sorry; I've admitted I made a mistake."
"We're all human, we all make mistakes.
"So you forgive me?"
"I never said that."
"Might as well." He leaned down and kissed me gently. I didn't take it well. I pulled away and slapped him across the face.
"Don't you dare think what you did was okay. That is no way to treat a girl."
"I know, and I'm–"
"No, I don't think you know, Simon. You're sorry ass hasn't been through half the shit you put girls through, I'm betting."
"You know what? Obviously this isn't going anywhere, so you win. I'm going home."
I jumped when the front door slammed and I didn't bother to watch him. I felt no urge to leave the house, so I didn't. I stayed in all day.
I didn't really think much about the fact that the door was still unlocked, until I heard it open. I turned around slowly, trying not to make any noise.
"It's just me, Andy, relax."
"Why are you here again, Simon?"
"You'd have been home alone if I didn't come over."
"Fine, whatever, but you're sleeping in the couch."
"I figured I would be."
