Liza was fast asleep in the back seat of a crowded van when her phone screen illuminated. She jerked awake to check it before any of her nosy band mates did. She looked around to see everyone asleep then down at her phone to see a text from Van.

"Hey love are you up?" It read
"I am now lol" she quickly typed back
"Aw sorry I'll leave you alone to sleep x" Van wrote
"No it's fine. What are you up to" Liza jotted

The pair texted for a few hours before Van ceased to reply. She figured he'd fallen asleep so she started to do the same. As she sat in the seat of a beat up car she wondered why she wanted more and more of this Gallagher boy. Not in a romantic way. But in a platonic way. She seemed companionship because ,really, she had none. Liza's band mates were the closest thing she could call friends. And at this point she didn't even know if she could call them that.

Once upon a time the four of them were each other's everything. But being unable to escape one another's presence for years on end takes a toll on a relationship. She managed to tolerate them at best. That had been something that left a growing hole in Liza's heart. Seeing the people who once meant the world to her mean so little now, and knowing how little she meant to them.

She wanted to leave the band more than ever. Where would she go? What would she do? The unanswerable questions always seemed to hold her back but questions like " Do they even like me anymore?" and " Is it worth if for the music?" pushed her forward. She always felt trapped in the middle of her conflicted thoughts.

She slowly fell asleep thinking of Van. He was what she needed at this point in her life. He cared. He cared about where she was, what she was doing, how she was doing. No one else seemed to. Sure they did deep down but on he surface only Van showed her any emotion. She admired that and appreciated it more than ever. She wanted to make him hers. Her friend. Her person. Her Van.

Again so sorry it's short x
