She was fast asleep, her mouth slightly parted and sweat glistening across her brow.

Stein flinched as Nygus tied off the stitches on his wounded shoulder. His eyes never left Torrent's face. He couldn't believe that it had been her.

Death slowly walk into the room. With the children safely back home, Death now had to focus on his A-Team. He had to know what it was that they knew.

But then his eyes fell upon Torrent and her sad and deathly appearance.

Clapping his hands together he tried to cheer them up. "Now, now! No need to be so glum. We'll get them next time."

Justin only looked down at his clenched fists. Despite the bandaged forearm and neck, Justin looked okay. But he hadn't left Torrent's side.

Everyone had insisted that after Nygus patched herself up that she tend to Torrent first. Stein refused treatment before anyone else.

"It's my fault. I couldn't protect her. I'm her weapon and shield, and I couldn't protect her. She even told me what was wrong." Justin was quietly trembling as he tried to keep from crying outwardly.

Spirit pushed off the wall. "No. It was my fault, Death. I was not able to help Kami protect Torrent from the wave of attackers. She was only trying to get us back as a group."

"No." Sid looked away. "She was my responsibility. We agreed that she was my mark and I lost track of her. I should've been more responsible."

Death clapped again. "Everyone calm down. We will discover this problem and fix it. We will be sure that everything turns out okay."

Stein closed his eyes and his head bowed. It was digging in deep and hurting greatly as he thought about everything she had been through and how nobody was there to help her in the end. But it also stung that she was the one doing the most damage.

"What's she done to be locked away?"

Silence fell and all eyes were on the door.
