Until Forever

Chapter 1

The road going up to the spot that we stop at was long but beautiful. Rylinn and I hold hands as we reach the top. "Grace." Rylinn whispers in my ear. The sound of his voice could melt my heart.

"Yes?" I turn to face him. His deep brown eyes meet my gray-blue eyes.

"I love you..." He wraps his arms around me and I grab him right back.

"I love you too. Look at the sunset!" I turn my head and see the bright orange sun set behind the deep blue sea. He rests his head on my head and I close my eyes. This is how it should be. Him and me.

"Grace? Can I ask you something?" Rylinn lets go and looks at me like he had never before.

"Anything!"

"How much do you love me?"

"More than anything in the whole world! You are my only family, my best friend, you are my world!" And I mean every word I just said, but surprised it came out so poetically.

"I feel the same way about you. And I want you to be my everything for the rest of my life." He kneels down on one knee as I cover my hands over my mouth. "Grace Anne Burthal... Will you marry me?"

My eye flood up with tears as I start crying. "Yes!" He puts the beautiful ring on my finger and kisses me.

We walk down the road back to the beach. A few cars pass us as we talk about our future together.

A car swerves around on the road, a drunk driver maybe. It runs straight at me and Rylinn. I look at Rylinn for a split second before he pushes me to the other side of the road. I sit up after the fall just in time to see Rylinn get hit by the car as it drives off the cliff. I run to the cliff and look over at Rylinn hanging on the edge of the cliff.
