"Taylor are you ready? We gotta go now or we'll be late!" Mum calls out to me from down the hall. She is making me go to this, camp thing I guess you could call it. Well not exactly but I didn't really want to go in the first place. It's working at this surfing resort up in Queensland, earning money and stuff all summer. One thing I'm nervous about is that there will be other teens there too. For a 16 year old I don't really get out much and my social skills are below 0, so I don't have much chance in making friends or whatever I am supposed to leave this camp thing with. "Yes mum, I'm putting my bags in the car!" I shout back to her finally. I walk out of the house carrying my, what feels like 2 tonne, bag and dump it next to the car because the boot isn't open yet. Mum walks out with her handbag and keys with a huge grin on her face. "Is it too late to change my mind?" I half whisper, just so she could hear me. She shakes her head and gets in the driver seat. I give her a 'hurry up' look. The boot is still not open. She gasps then reaches down to the button and it pops open. I shove my bag in where it can fit amongst the junk she keeps in there then hop in the passenger seat. "Mum.. What if the other people.. Teens.. Whatever you want to call them don't like me?" I ask. "You'll get along with them fine I'm sure. Just be yourself and try not to be too shy." She assures. I roll my eyes and stare out the window at our street. I'll miss it.

The plane ride was 4 hours and I'm kind of jet lagged but I'll be fine. To be honest I don't even know who's picking me up from the airport. Do I have to walk to the resort? Hah I don't even know my way around this place. I slowly walk out into the open area where other passengers are meeting people collecting them and collecting their luggage but I don't see anyone I know. I get out my phone and it's 3:35pm but I have no texts or missed calls. Maybe mum just wanted to get rid of me. I put my phone back in my pocket and stand on the spot looking around. Then I see this tall dark haired guy holding up a sign and pointing at it, looking at me. The sign says Taylor Wilson. That's me. I walk over to him with a confused look on my face.

"You must be Taylor, I'm your manager Mr. Cyrus." He says with a slight grin, putting out his hand for me to shake. I put on a weak smile and shake it. Then he leads me to the baggage area to get my bag. He picks out the one that has my name on the tag and hands it to me. "Thanks." I mumble.

We then go out to.. A LIMO oh my god. He opens the door for me and I hop in. There's no one else in here. I thought other teens were going to be at the resort with us? Oh god I hope I'm not stuck there by myself. "Ah Mr Cyrus aren't there going to be other, you know, teens staying at the resort with me?" I ask. He looks at me shocked. "Hahaha. You aren't staying at the resort love. But there are other kids back there, working already. You came a day late." He explained. Where would I be staying then? At least there's other people there. "You and the other workers stay at a shack and catch a tram to the resort every day." He says. Oh I didn't mean to say that out loud. I give a slight nod and within 15 minutes we arrive at the resort.

I look out the window and there is this massive building practically made of glass. It has a huge dolphin sitting on top of the building and its surrounded by nice gardens and fancy stuff. Wow I am actually looking forward to staying here.
