The cold breeze of the autumn wind brushed across my pale cold face. Tips of the scarf I wore around my neck to my nose swayed amongst the wind. More cold air swept the colorful leaves, some of it brushing across my white sweater and blue leggings.
In front of me was a black metallic gate structured with bars, shaped like a semi-circle. I touched the gate to feel the freezing metal on my fingertips. When was this design made again? 20th century? 21st? I forgot about this topic in history class
The gate that was once solid faded like an old computer screen shutting off. This confirmed that the technology was already since 2140 as that day was 2146.
A voice boomed out of nowhere. I assumed that it came from a hidden telecom.
"Welcome, ms. Auvery. We've been expecting your late arrival."
