Bad surprise
Finally holidays, I thought to myself, while I entered the airport. The last few weeks had been the most stressful weeks ever, I had exams to prepare for and worked part time at a coffee shop to pay my studies. When I returned home I was to tired for anything else.
But now were finally holidays! The most magical time of the year finally arrived. And all I wanted to do was to relax with my family and to have some great days in Ireland, before returning back to my normal working schedule. My family lived in Ireland and I visited them as often as I could. But dew to my busy working schedule I had not seen them in quite a while.
First of all I checked if my flight was in time. But as I stood in front of the screen I saw
that..NO!! There must had been something wrong! My flight had been canceled. CANCELED! Awe-struck I stood before the screen. What was happening? Had anything happened in Ireland? Don't panic, I tried to calm myself. I just had to ask some people for further information.
Hectically I began searching for the information point of my flight company. It was a big airport and it took me some time to finally get to the right center. There were a lot of people waiting in line, and when it finally was my turn, I came straightly to the point :" Why has the flight to Dublin has been canceled?" The woman in front of me, she had to be about my age, black hair, brown eyes gave me a unnerved look. "Number 10246 parting at 12.00?" I cringed. Yes of course this one. It was the only flight that had been canceled, actually. "Well, there had been a fire last night at the airport of Dublin and some flights had to be canceled. I assure you, that all passengers from today's machine will be relocated in the one parting tomorrow morning 6 o clock. I give you your new pass in a minute". She gave ma an apologizing look. What? Why had something like this to happen? As I lived two hours away from the airport, it basically meant I had to sleep at the airport. Not to mention I had one day less with my family. What a mess!
After buying myself a sandwich for 6 dollars (Since when did they double the prices? My last flight must have been why really a while ago) I searched for a seat in a quiet area of the airport. I sat down and stared at my bag. I know I had to inform my family but I would do it later. I felt to down myself and I didn't want them to worry.
What do you want?
„What are you doing here, all by yourself?" Oh no. I looked up. Oh no, no, no! A too good looking man gave me a questioning look. He must have had some Spanish origins, he had dark hair, brown eyes and tanned skin. He wore some bleached Jeans and a black shirt. I could see the outlines of his muscles under his shirt. He was tall. I felt my cheeks blushing and answered: „I am fine thanks. I just found out my flight will part tomorrow. Now I will part tomorrow morning!"
He sat down next to me. Had I sad something that made him thing I wanted him to sit next to me? I just wanted to indulge a little in my self pity. Wasn't that obvious?
„I also wanted to take that flight. Come on, it is only that night. Nothing to freak out about." I got a little angry. Who did he think he was? „ Well maybe for you it is nothing special, for me it is. I haven't seen my family for months. One day more or less is not nothing." I didn't know why I answered so rudely. Something about him trough me off. I didn't want to get to know that guy. He was far too good looking, and I was a happy single. For me man meant distraction, sacrificing my precious time. I was very busy and I simply had no time left for anything. I barely managed my working schedule.
"So you have family in Ireland?" I sighed. Really? "Cant you find another victim to spent your time with?" I stated bluntly. I turned my head to look at him and that was a big mistake. I stared right into his eyes and my heart skipped a beat. Why did he have to be so good looking? I could see every feature of his face, his eyes had the co lour of chocolate brown, he looked smashing. I swallowed.
