Chapter 1

Jalyn p.o.v

I was walking in the park. The sound of children's laughter and ducks quaking from the pond filled my ears. I decided to sit on the grass by the pond and read my book. I like reading. I think of it as tv in your head.

Prodigy's p.o.v

"I'll be back later", i said to my brothers before i walked out the living room to the door.

"Where you going?" Prince asked right before i walked out the door

"For a walk" i mumbled but loud enough for him to hear. Then i walked out before he can say another word.

i just decided to walk around the park to clear my head. While i was walking i noticed a girl sitting by the pond reading a book. She was... Beautiful. The way her long brown hair flowed in the wind as she focused on her book was weirdly beautiful to look at. I needed to meet her, so i sat right next to her without saying a word. She put her finger in her book so she won't lose her place then she looked at me.

"Um may i help you?" She asked curiously

"The Last Song? Good taste in books." I said referring to her book completely ignoring her question. She looked at me like i was crazy, but finally spoke.

Is this guy serious right now? He literally just sat down next to me and didnt even say a word, but he is cute. He has black hair with a blonde streak in it, pretty brown eyes, and his jawline was amazing... Ok i admit it, he was sexy.

"Um thank you, I love Nicoles Sparks, he's my favorite author" i said friendly

"Mine too" he said and flashed me the most beautiful smile... Ughhh this boy is... Yeahh

"So what school do you go to?" He asked out of the blue

"UCLA" I answered looking at the pond in front of me

"UCLA? As in the college?" I asked shocked

"Yeah what else would i mean?" She said and looked at me like i was crazy

"Oh nothing, just asking" I said

"Where do you go?" She asked me curiously

"I go to East Valley" i said honestly

"Your in high school?" She asked shocked

"Yeah" I said truthfully

And with that she started reading her book again.

Jalyn p.o.v

I cant believe this dude is in high school! He looks like a college student.

"Oh" i said still reading my book

"So you should let me take you on a date one day" he said confidently

"Um dont think so" i said with a little chuckle

"Why not" he asked

"Look whatever your na-"

"Craig, but call me Prodigy" he answered before i could even finish what i was saying

"Craig, i dont go out with guys younger than me" i said in all honesty

"Your just year older than me and im very mature. Im not like other assholes out here" he said with confidense

Its not like i dont think he's cute because he is hot as hell, but i just dont date guys younger than me.

Prodigy p.o.v

"Bye Craig" she said with a slight smile on her face. She got up and started walking away.

"Can i at least get your number?" I asked hoping she would say yes

"Ask me again when you finish high school." She said with that beautiful smile still on her face, and with she turned around and started walking away.
