chapter 1:
i just found out that i'm pregnant. i have to tell my boyfriend of 3 years and i know he won't be excited. my name is melani carter i'm 22 years old and my boyfriend is kemani jones and he's 25. we kind of grew up together our parents are like best friends. so of course for us to end up together is like expected. but me getting pregnant is like omg no i'm to young and i just started a new job last week and my boss is a real piece of work if you ask me. he's rude and he only has two other females here. H usually does not hire women but we are efficient in what we do so of course we were hired. im sitting in my office bathroom looking at this positive test. i need to tell kemani. I get up off the floor and wipe my eyes i saw a shadow outside my office door but the person was standing there and looked like they were on the phone so i decided to call my doctor and set up an appointment.
"hello this is dr. michael's office how may i help you" i recognised my sister's voice she worked at the clinic.
"hey this is Melanie Carter i need to set up an appointment" i said.
"Melani is that you" i heard my sister yasmine say.
"yes its me can you please set me up an appointment as soon as he's available" i said
"ok" i heard her typing it up.
"how is tomorrow morning" she asked.
"perfect and please don't tell anybody about this" i pleaded.
"you know i can even if i wanted to" she said. we said our goodbyes and hung up. at that moment i looked up and i saw my boss standing in the doorway. oh god i hope he didn't hear the conversation.
"why are you taking personal calls on pay hours" his voice boomed.
"i'm sorry mr. calloway it was my doctor" i kinda lied so what. i saw his eyes soften a little bit.
"is everything ok with you" he asked sounding concerned i just stared at him. he cleared his throat
"i just want to make sure my staff is healthy... don't want any screw ups" he said that explained the look... i was reading too much into it. he then turned to leave.
"get back to work" he left on that note.....

ugh it's 5 pm and i'm just tired i'm on my way home early to surprise kemani. i hope he take this news well...... cause if not i don't know what i'm gon do. i'm finally at the house after 30 minutes of traffic. i walk into my house and i hear moans coming from upstairs.. i felt my heart drop.... please let that be the t.v i chanted. i was hoping until i heard kemani.

"why" i asked trying to hold back my tears.
"i'm addicted" he said slowly getting up walking to me. i stopped him.
"i'm pregnant and were over i'm moving out now and i'm leaving the state don't look for me or our child we will be better without you" i stated going to the closet and grabbed my suitcase and began packing.
"you're just going to catch me cheating and tell me your pregnant and that you're moving away" he sounded shocked.
"yes" i said little did he know i recorded everything just in case he tried to take my baby away i got in my car and just drove...... to my unknown destination.......
