***Chapter 2

How embarrassing. Seriously. After I sat down at the table with Kale on the opposite side no one would stop staring. It’s like they thought the worst of me. I would too, I mean i know what I looked like when i walked into the classroom. I just can’t believe Kale would say something like that!

Worst of all was that he wouldn’t stop smirking at me. It was getting annoying. So I did my best to ignore that idiot.

"All right class. Settle down. Now you all know about your major grade assignment right?" Everyone groaned as the teacher went over the procedures. And for the first time ever I tuned out. 

"ok, now I know that the project might be too difficult to do it on your own so I will let you work in partners." Everyone else cheered while I groaned inwardly.

I hate working in partners. Usually I end up doing all the work. "Don’t get to excited class. Because it would be a draw. I will pass around each of your desks and some of you will pick out a paper. And whatever name is on the paper, that’s who your partner will be." Well I guess that's ok.

As the teacher went around giving out papers I was silently hoping to be stuck with a smart kid. This was Science class so of course there must be someone smart in here.

Mr. Sullivan came by our table but handed Kale the Box so he could choose. There were only two more names in there. and I was wondering who had chosen me. Kale looked at me with a cocky look. 

I raised an eyebrow wondering why he was looking at me like that. Then all my questions were answered when he leaned in towards me, unfolded the piece of paper and whispered huskily "guess were together cupcake" and he was right. There on the paper was written Elizabeth Shappiro in big black letters. 

I groaned out loud and let my head rest on the desk. While Kale chuckled and leaned back into his seat, and I was aware of him watching me.

"Ok guys, now remember this project is to make yall work together. Since I actually want some papers to grade. It could be on hobbies, talents favorite things, or things you have in common. Please choose to do it on something that would interest the both of yall." The bell rang signaling that the period was over and I grumpily picked my things and headed outside. 

Luckily Kale was no where to be seen and i sighed in relief. I looked at my schedule and noticed I had AP Calculus with Mrs. Kross in the second floor. So I started to head to the stairs when i was stopped.

A tall girl stood in my way with a big grin on her face. She was wearing bright yellow skinny jeans and a one shoulder black top. Her skin had a light tan in it making her look like she had gone to the beach recently. She was wearing black hiker boots. Her black hair was cut short and had pink streaks in it. "umm... excuse me?" I asked unsure.

She laughed and popped her gum then said "Sooooooo Kale huh?" Then she wiggled her eyebrows. My eyes widened at the realization that she had been in that class.

"I swear I didnt do anything! im serious!" i Replied defensively. She came closer and laughed "Chill, Ok I know yall didnt do anything. But you should have seen your face!" she started laughing and i glared at her. 

She saw my face and said "ok, ok , Not funny. Oh and The names Ava. 5'5 with blue eyes, two parents, Lesbian but I wont hit on you so dont worry, I have one dog, no car yet, Crazy and unfortunately not the only child. so who are you?" She looked at me expectantly and I just stared at her confused.
