I stared into his pale face gleaming with sweat
"We could anyway, so what?" He asked me
"We could get sick." I replied sternly. My passion for him was like wildfire, uncontrollable and powerful. However, I knew that no person, including him, was worth getting sick over.
"We could die together! This... This might be our last chance." He begged. His big brown eyes stared into mine, beckoning me to leave all common sense and push myself into his body. I couldn't... I wouldn't... Nothing was worth the sickness.
"NO! We couldn't!" I shouted.
He leaned back a few inches and his hand slid off my shoulder.
"We are together now, isn't that good enough? We're fighting the sickness, a cure will come soon. It has to come soon. But if we, the healthy, don't stay alive then the sickness will wipe out the human race forever. Leo, we can't." I told him.
My eyes, I knew were orbs of gravity. I had lost everyone, my family, my best friend, and I didn't want to lose Leo. He was my partner, we were twins of the same arrow. Nothing could separate us, not even death. Our masters told us that if an arrow was to hit one of us, we would both die. That we had a bond so strong that every army couldn't pull us apart and i had no doubt that I could kill an entire army to get to Leo.
"Airyan... You can't keep saving the world and losing your own." He said quietly.
"How could you say that?! You've given up everything too!"
"But I haven't given up you, and I never will." He bowed his head and I traced the marked skin on his arms over his muscle. Fiery orange and black almost radiant marks ran up his arms to his chest much like the lavender and violet ones on mine. He was truly beautiful but that still didn't mean I would die just for a night of intimacy together.
"Let's just go to sleep, okay?" I asked him. He nodded slowly and laid on the warm floor near the fire and I laid beside him. I kissed my fingers and pressed them on his forehead once I could tell that he had drifted into a peaceful dream land. I looked back at him and with a smile at the glow on his skin, I left, swiftly and quietly.
