Annilise the small female captive of the hunters was being dragged across the building she has been held captive in for two years now. Annilise didn't know how to react to being dragged like this by the hunter female Alice. I mean she was with the terrible man Galen and until recently the hunter had allowed her to be abused by Galen. Why did Alice have such a change in attitude when he was beating her with the broom this time? Was it because she had cried out in desperate pain? Because if that was the case why didn't she say anything to Alice sooner? Maybe she would have saved her and taken her away from that horrible man. Now she didn't want to leave the woman's side, she wanted to get as far away as possible and maybe meet another man who'd be a lot nicer than Galen and will do anything for her and keep her safe like a guardian angel. Alice had stopped on one of the rooftops, she grabbed the latch to a fire escape and let the metal ladders clank down.
"Go down first." she ordered, Annalise noticed her voice was a lot softer than before but it was still stern, protective even. Descending down the ladders she paused for Alice and they began their walk again, getting further and further away from the bad man's clutches.
Annilise continued to walk through the city but was stopped by Alice who had looked at her with those curious dual colored eyes.
"So how exactly were you brought to Galen, Annilise?" at this question Annilise froze in place and looked down at her hands, she didn't really know the best way to answer that without sounding like a baby.
"Um... Well... I don't know the best way to say this without sounding like a big giant baby..."
"Trust me Annilise you won't, if it's truly painful for you it's okay to sound like a baby. I won't push you away because you might sound like a baby. You're only fifteen, I'm not that kind of person. Believe it or not I actually do have a heart" Annilise could hear the sincerity of the female hunter's voice and that made her want to tell Alice her past, that didn't mean it was not easy forcing the words from her lips.
"Okay I'll tell you... I was an orphan after my parents died in France where I'm from... When they died I was put into foster care for years unable to find the right home... After awhile I kinda just gave up and ran away from foster care. After a day of braving the cold winter Galen found me... I was thirteen." Annilise's nerves caused her to stare down at her hands, not able to bring her head up to look at Alice as she spoke about her past."So you have been in that place for two years!? And he's been making passes and abusing you for two years as well?!" This made Annilise bite her lip and she slowly nodded, in the two years she was there Annilise never really saw Alice, and vice versa, until just a few months ago when Alice became one of Galen's top people and forced her to bring her to and from her room, she was indeed an amazing person. Alice was kind of like her hero, even to say she was her idol for being there when no one else could or would save her from Galen's evil acts.
As they two conversed Annilise saw Alice go quiet all of a sudden and put a finger to her lips telling Annilise to be quiet, which she gladly did in case it was serious. Upon the silence there were faint sounds in the city behind them as she heard some muffled words like, "two", "women" and then a few descriptions like "blue hair", "black hair" at that Annilise tensed up and she looked to Alice hoping she had a plan for escape. Thankfully she saw a nod of the head and she silently motioned towards an alleyway and began to climb up fire escapes to keep out of sight of the hunters that followed behind, "we are going to go into the woods."
