Galing lang sa jogging si Tany ng mamataan ang kotse ng mommy niya; napailing siya sa sarili. She knew her mother as early as that, mukang sesermunan na naman siya nito.
"Hey, good morning darling." Bungad na bati nito ng pumasok siya, naka- apron pa ito at mukhang naghanda ng almusal, lalo siyang kinabahan it was her unsual mom.
"Good morning." Alanganin pa siyang humalik sa pisngi nito.
Mukhang may kakaiba ditto. "You change your clothes, nagluto ako ng breakfast."
Napakunot noo siya. "How come that a beauty queen is now cooking my breakfast?"
"Sige na, go..magpalit ka na ng damit." Imbes ay wika nito.
Napapailing na pumasok siya sa kwarto; after a minutes ay nasa hapag na sila ng ina. She hates silence with her mom; usually ay dapat salita na ito ng salita.
"Mom mas kinakabahan ako na ganito ka sa akin; what is it now?" she broke the silence.
Tila naman ay nasaktan ito sa sinabi niya, she felt guilty about what she had said.
"Masama na bang ma-miss ko ang bunso ko?" himig nagtatampo naman ito. "I know were not okay these past few months..I just wanted you to be okay, I just don't know how to console you about things that hurted you..but I'm still your mother."
"I'm sorry.." sincere na saad niya.
"You're grown- up now Tany, I know I've been paranoid lately, I always bugging and nagging at you because I'm your mom...I am just glad that you're starting to be okay. I heard about the resort and about you going out just like the old times."
"I've been always okay."
Ngumiti ito na may relief. "I talk to Alexis Gregorio, he's a nice guy."
Muntik ng mabulunan ang dalaga. "What?!"
"Nag-coffee lang naman kami, what's wrong with that."
"Mom you should not did that, nakakahiya dun sa tao, he is my friend."
Nagkibit- balikat ito. "I like him, a true gentleman."
She rolled her eyeballs. "I can't believe this."
"Why hija? I just wanted to check on you..besides I like the way he renovates the resort, I am planning to invite him in a dinner."
Muntik ng mabulunan ang dalaga."That's ridiculous mom...I swear."
Ngumiti ito. "I think he likes you though he didn't admits it cause he respected your feelings." Patuloy nito.
Tany secretly blushed. "Mom you are really impossible."
Maya-maya'y sumeryoso ito. "Honey,I know that this past few months had been so tough for you..I am glad that you have this people around you that willing to make you smile."
"Mom I know I have you and my brothers..that's enough for me."
Ngumiti ito na tila maiiyak, her mom used to be a strong woman..mapride ito katulad ng ama niya kaya hindi nagkasundo but then she was there whenever Tany needs her. "My beautiful princess." niyakap pa siya nito. "By the way I heard aboit Tiffany and Domimic having vacation at the resort..wala pang opening, why did you allow them?" balik na naman ito sa dati.
"Mom..Tiffany needs it for her pregnancy."
"Why on Earth sa resort pa..hindi ba afford ni Dominic sa ibang lugar?"
"Maselan ang pagbubuntis ni Tiffany..she can't travel."
Umismid ito."She just wanted to irritate you."
