Chapter 20 ~ changes

KAYLAS POV

It's now been about a year since Ethan and I broke up. He's now dating Jordyn and I'm still left alone. Chris and Anna worked things out and got back together after 2 weeks. It turns out that girl kissed him and Ethan didn't  actually see. Gemma had her baby and it was a boy, they called it Tyde Troye (yes you heard that right! ~ this ones for you Georgia!) Delgado. He's now 10 months old and getting bigger by the day. He has brown eyes and growing brown hair. I go over and see them everyday after school - aka seeing Ethan make out with Jordyn. Oh and that's right Ethan and Jordyn have either got their tongues down each others throats or wagging and doing drugs behind Coles. I found out because one day I was taking a short cut and found them two just there blowing away on their ice. Never taking that short cut ever again.

"KAYLA COME DOWN HERE FOR A SECOND PLEASE" I hear my mum call from downstairs, so I get up and go downstairs.

"Yes?" I ask trying to be positive seeing as I was half asleep.

"Would you mind running down to Coles and picking up some milk and bread? Please" my mum asks me handing me a $20 note.

"Yeah sure" I say taking the money

"And can you also get a packet of favourites or something like that please" Cal says coming downstairs.

"Yeah whatever" I say my wanting to argue. I then go upstairs and grab my phone and wallet. Then go back downstairs and walk off to Coles.

When I get there I grab a basket then head straight to grab the bread, then milk, whilst I was there I saw... Miranda. "Sorry" I smile and leave

"No Kayla" she says grabbing my arm.
"Look Kayla I know you and Ethan aren't a thing anymore and haven't been for a while but seriously, I think that you guys belong together, remember the voice kids and the hotels and everything, the madness. And now Jordyn, Ethan is never home and I don't know where he ever is. All I know I that he's not saving the world or raising money for charity. When Jordyn was little, her dad cheated on her mum and left, her mum was always asleep at day time because she had a night job, I'm not going to say what job but let's just say that she danced on poles with no clothes on for men to stare at all night (😂) . So James and I would look after Jordyn a lot but then her mum found herself a boyfriend and they moved to WA together, then they broke up and they came back over here. And whilst they were over there Jordyn must have picked some things up off her mum. She's not like you, she's making Ethan a mess and I don't like it, we tried grounding him but he ran away for a week until he was on the front door step with the police. Ethan needs you, and you need him. I can just tell"

"I'm sorry Miranda, but I've been waiting for Ethan for over a year now. He moved on with no warning, it's all his choice. And I'm really sorry... I still love your son" I say then I start to walk away

"And I know he loves you too, just deep down" she says then I walk away. I grab the chocolates then pay and walk back home.

Once I get back home I give mum the milk and bread and take the chocolates upstairs to Cal, I then go to my room and think about what Miranda said to me in the shops. I agree Ethan is a mess with Jordyn, and I do miss him. I know that he doesn't like Jordyn but then again why did he not come after me when I was the one that left? Maybe he did mean that kiss with Rose?
