Rouge POV
I mumbled as I read the spell book, searching for a cure for Lucy's condition.
"How to transform your pig to a dog... No. How to make people fall in love with you... No."
I sighed.
"How to remove spots... How to- How to reverse an age-changing spell! That's it!"Sting POV
"Two tickets to Magnolia, please!" I said, sounding a bit exasperated.
The man gave us the tickets and I paid, outraged by the price.
I started walking reluctantly toward the train, Lucy skipping along beside me.
"Stingy-bee? Where are we going? Is Rouge-kun coming with us? When can I sleep? I'm hungry! Do you have any food?" The girl flooded me with questions and, before I could answer even just one, she burst into tears as we entered the train.
"Aah! Where's a Rouge when you need one!" We received anxious glances from other passengers and I tried to hush Lucy but she wouldn't stop. Sigh.
"Uh... Um... Lucy? Please stop crying or... Or you won't be able to see any fairies!" Damn me and stupid mind. Fairies? What did I mean by that?
She stopped for a moment and looked up at me, expectantly. "Fairies?" She said, almost inaudibly.
I racked my brain for answers.
"Uh... Yes! Fairies! If you cry, then they won't appear... And they won't grant you magical wis-" I was stopped by an abrupt jolt as a wave of nauseousness as the train moved forward. I searched my bag for the motion sickness potion and swallowed it all, trying not to throw up from just the taste.
"What about the Fairies! Keep going!" Yelled Lucy, receiving yet more agitated looks and grumbles from the people near us."Uh y-yes!" I fumbled with my words, willing something good to pop out of my mind.
"Crying scares away the fairies..." Damn it, Sting! Get a grip!
Lucy looked at me, tugging at my shirt "Anddd?"
"And you'll want to see the fairies! They're amazing!" The guild flicked into my mind and I smiled. "They are strong, brave... They help anyone who's in trouble..."
I thought for a second. "And they all have different magic."
A yawn made me turn to Lucy "What magic do they have?" She pondered. Why so many questions?
"Uh, well... There's one that uses ice... One that uses sky magic... One that eats iron and one that has lots of armour and swords..."
Lucy smiled and rested her head against my shoulder. "What else?" Her eyes were eager and full of unimaginable wonder.
"One, a really strong one... He uses fire magic... And has bright pin- no, salmon hair..." Natsu. "He's defeated hundreds and thousands of enemies to protect his friends."
"What do they look like?" She poked me, wriggling impatiently.
"They're all unique..." I mumbled "They all have the Fairy logo on them and... And they are always smiling... They have big wings..."
"Sting?" She said, suddenly gleaming with happiness."Do they have tails?"
Hey, it's me. I'm sorry for the lack of updates, but, I kind of lost where I was going with this story and put it on hold for a bit, but, hopefully they'll be more chapters in the future! I know this chapter was a bit weak but I felt like the story needed something like this just to fill a few gaps! Thank you for reading and sticking with me!
And I know this is short, I just wanted to let you know I'm still alive 🌚
