The Ambush

~~~emma's pov~~~
It was another day on the ship, captain was yelling at Feliciano for not being as awesome as him, captains little brother was trying to get his Italian lover to stop crying, lovino was trying to kill captain while Antonio held him back. In the end I had to give everyone a good scolding, once again. Yep... a normal day out at sea, until evrything came to a stop. Gilbert immediately froze, lovino stopped yelling, and feli cries silenced. At that moment everything went cold, because right in front of us was a english ship heading strait for us making no attempt to slow down or stop. Everyone rushed to their posts grabbing their guns, swords, and other various weapons. We were ready to fight. The first cannon was fired landing right next to our ship sending many members flying. 'They aren't even aiming for us' I thought to myself when a second cannon was fired, captain was about to shoot at them.
"Captain wait, they aren't aiming at us they won't shoot us down. I don't think they want trou..." but before I could finish a bullet was fired right at me hitting the ground beside me.
"___!!!" I heard captain scream my name. As I pulled out my sword the enemy started filling out onto our ship starting separate battles with different members. After about 15 different opponents i looked around to see my shipmates, beaten or fighting about to give in. Feliciano was in Ludwig's arms unconscious while Antonio and lovino tried to hold off the rest of the guys who hadn't yet retreated. Then I saw it captain was fighting a man, their captain most likely, he was covered in cuts and bruises. The other man was unscathed except for a few small cuts. as I saw captain fall the small man's eyes met mine, he had bright green eyes, that I can only describe as an emerald green, they looked as if they could see into your soul. And through all this chaos he looked at me, and smiled. I ran after him with my sword only to see him hop back onto his own ship just out of reach. As I was helping the others up I couldn't help but let my mind wander to those emerald eyes. 'How could such a horrible man have such a beautiful face...wait what am I thinking that man destroyed our peace and our ship he wasn't anything I needed to be thinking so kindly about.'
"___...are re you ok, You keep staring off into space?" I turned around to see a worried Antonio staring down at me.
"Yeah I'm fine. Come on let's finish cleaning this mess up," I said handing him a mop. He just smiled taking the mop and heading towards lovino, I swear no matter how much they object it's obvious they are dating. The Italians on our ship are just so hopelessly in love. After about an hour of cleaning captain went into his office to find gilbird.
"Nooo ZHAT DIRTY BRIT!!! I heard from captains office, he ran out tears streaking his face." It... it's gilbird" he said through tears.
"What about gilbird?" I asked.
" He...he's been..."
