Chapter 4 - White Roses

You walk towards the monstrous mansion before you. This can't be the place, the people had said that this was a haunted house. Alright, you have to admit that something feels off about this house. You check the address again. You're pretty sure it says the same thing as the address Subaru had written for you. Did you fall into some sort of prank?
Just as you were about to turn back and go home, a girl rushed outside the door.
" Ah! It's you! You're here for Subaru aren't you?" The unfamiliar blond haired girl said.
"Uh, yeah. Is- is this the right place?"
"Nn!" She said, nodding her head vigorously as she lead you through the garden and into the building.
Just as you were walking past the rose bushes, you notice a white flower among the reds. It caught your eye instantly but you said nothing.
The girl led you into the living room where a blond haired male and the familiar white haired boy lounged. He blond haired girl left the three of you in the room and an awkward silence set in.
Subaru looked at you, and then at the box of chocolates you were holding. You looked at it as well and you opened your mouth to say something before he interrupted, "I don't care about that girl. And I'm not eating that"
"But you didn't have to be so rude!"
"Hmph"
"Just keep it, its a gift from her, you should at least show some appreciation. Maybe eat one or two or share it among you guys or something," you rambled, handing the box of chocolates to him. He hesitantly took it, looking at the broken pieces of chocolate with a death glare.
"Why? What's wrong with it?"
"White roses"
"What's wrong with that? I think it suits you-"
"SHUT UP!"
His reaction surprised you, and so, you stepped back out of fear.
"YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT ME! JUST-"
" Oi, Oi," an unfamiliar voice interjected. "Take your quarrel somewhere else. I'm trying to sleep here"
'WHY DONT YOU GO AWAY?!" He screamed, kicking a nearby couch, breaking its wooden leg before throwing the box of chocolate, shattering it.
"Urgh, how troublesome. I'll leave alright?" The blonde haired guy said, scratching his head before leaving you alone with Subaru.
"M-maybe I'll just do this alone" you stuttered.
"No" he replied, his hand on his face, rubbing sweat off his face before sighing.
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-"
"Whatever, it doesn't matter." He said, looking down at the shattered pieces of chocolate on the floor. He took a piece and put it in his mouth

"Sweet. Too sweet"
You were surprised.
"Are you satisfied now?"
"I'm sorry"
"Stop apologizing."
"Sorry,"
He sighed, "it's okay,"
