(Addilyn's POV)

I rested my head on my hand and sighed. Seeing the only guy I've loved since the 5th grade get a girlfriend hurt.  It was like someone had taken my heart and ripped it right out of my chest.

I had no right to be jealous. I mean, we never really talked, and I'm, well, Addilyn Rose. No guy likes me more or less talks to me.

Houston skipped happily away with his girlfriend, while I just sat on the bench, silently crying.

Basically, everyone in the school knew I was kind of obsessed with Houston. I have my friends to thank for that one...

I stood up and started to head towards first period, when someone lightly tapped my shoulder. I jumped at the soft touch and turned to see my best friend, Arabella.

"Sorry for the scare! I wanted to make sure you were okay with the whole 'Houcily' thing..." Her blue, crystal eyes looked at me with so much sympathy. However, there was only one thing on my mind at that point in time.

"Arabella, what in fucks sake is a 'Houcily'?"

From Arabella's reaction, I was assuming I should've known the answer. She went on to tell me Houston and his pathetic excuse of a girlfriend, Sicily, had a stupid ship name.

"Oh. Well, yeah, I'm perfectly fine. We never even talked so it didn't hurt as bad as it would've." I bit my tongue as I felt tears well up in my eyes. I felt bad for lying to her, but then she would go off on a rant. That's just how Arabella's nature was. She just wanted me to be happy.

"Okay, well I gotta get to class. Talk to you at lunch!" She waved goodbye and proceeded to walk to her class.

What if I ever got Houston in my class? Omg that wou- OMG ADDILYN STOP THINKING ABOUT HIM. HE HAS A GIRLFRIEND.

No matter what I told my brain, it still continued to envision a class with the Houston Prier. Then it dawned on me. I'm not as smart as he is, so he sure as hell won't be in any of my classes anytime soon.

The bell for first period rang and, as usual, I was late for class. Mrs. Collins glared at me as I walked through the door and I sped walked to my seat next to Brooklyn, my other best friend.

"Addilyn, when are you going to stop being late to my class?" Mrs. Collins sighed at the end of her sentence.

"As soon as you find a boyfriend. So I guess we will be waiting a looonnngggg time now won't we?" The class erupted with laughter and Mrs. Collins face turned red.

"That's it. Detention after school."

Brooklyn leaned over to me and whisper-giggled, "Wow, three detentions in one week? I think that's a new record."

Mrs. Collins started the lesson and I obviously zoned out. This was, however, my best class, so I felt no need to pay attention. Algebra came easy to me I guess.

The day went by relatively fast, and before I knew it it was time for detention.

I strolled into the classroom and went to go set my stuff down at my desk, when I looked through the doorway and saw the only and only, Houston Prier.
