The girls and I decided to split the cost of a room at the Chicago Marriott so that we could be in the city the day before the parade and not have to worry about beating traffic into the city the day of. We didn't even have to worry about parking since my mom offered to drive us up here and pick us up the next day. The ride up here was pretty fun, we blasted Chelsea Dagger on repeat with the windows and sunroof open the entire time. I'm pretty sure my mom is slightly deaf now after all of that, including us singing our hearts out along with The Fratellis.

Once all of our stuff is out of my mom's mini-van, we head into the beautiful hotel. Checking in with the receptionist at the front desk we all get our room keys and head towards the elevators up to our room. Tossing my purse and phone on one of the queen sized beds, I set my suitcase down next to the bed. Since there are only two beds in the room, we decided to just share them insead of paying for two seperate rooms. I mean, we're all friends so it's not that weird to share a bed with each other.

We each take turns using the bathroom to freshen up and change for tonight. We planned on hitting up a few bars here and there in hopes of finding the Stanley Cup and members of the team. We all were pretty much on Cup Watch, considering we really wanted to meet the guys and see the Cup up close and personal while we have the chance. Once we're all ready, we snap some pictures for Instagram. I mean why not, right?

We pile into the elevator, the scent of our perfumes intoxicating the air around us. Smiles plastered on our faces, we exit the hotel ready for an exciting night. Linking arms with Lilly, I give her a goofy smile "So, if we happen to run into a certain number 65 tonight, what would you do?" I ask with a wink. "Honestly, I don't know. Of course I'd go talk to him, maybe get an autograph?" She says, clearly unsure of what she'd do exactly. "What would you do if Toews shows up to where we're going?" She says mocking me. "Touche." I respond with an unintentionally loud laugh. My laugh gains a few looks from passers-by, but I could care less right now.

After walking for another ten minutes we've arrived at one of the rumoured places the Cup has been spotted at. Jessa peeks inside, an instant grin spreading on her lips. She frantically waves for us to come inside. The music is blaring, drinks being served all around us, and everyone already here was dancing like crazy. The Cup is on the other side, closer to the bar being filled, most likely re-filled, with Champagne. Running a hand through my thick brunette tresses, I feel someone tugging on my arm pulling me forward. Following Frankie, Jessa and Lilly onto the dance floor, we all let loose and start to dance, our bodies moving with the music.

As we're dancing, I feel as if someone's watching us. Looking over my shoulder, I spot Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane and Andrew Shaw all looking in our direction. I throw them a flirty wink and continue to dance. The only time I stop is for a brief second to let Frankie and Lilly know we had some viewers. After a couple more songs we decide to go get some drinks, maybe even go get some pictures with the Cup.

Taking a seat on four empty bar stools, we all order our favorite drinks. Lilly's being a non-alcoholic one. I honestly didn't blame her, she played it safe unlike the rest of us. Before I can finish my second of three shots, Toews, Shaw and Kane make their way towards us. Quickly downing the last two shots, I push the small glasses towards the bartender, taking in a deep breath before turning back around. My cheeks flush red automatically, and my heart starts to race. I look over at Frankie real quick, giving her a small smirk before returning my gaze to the man in front of me.

"Nice dance moves out there." Jonathan says, sounding a bit drunk. Hey, I don't blame him, it was his second time winning the cup in four seasons. "Thank you, did you enjoy watching?" I tease, a smirk playing on my lips. I only hoped I could come up with some quick, witty comments for a change tonight. Usually I was pretty slow, but I wanted to have some fun tonight, so hopefully I don't end up sounding like an idiot. "Yeah, I actually wanted to know if you'd like to dance with me out there?" He asks, rubbing his hand on the back of his neck, looking a bit nervous. "Sure thing Captain." I reply, hopping off the stool as he leads me back to the dancefloor.

Shortly after, we were joined by Andrew, Lilly, Patrick, Frankie, Oduya and Jessa. What feels like hours later, we decide to dance to one last song, after a bathroom break. Us girls all head towards the ladie's room, not exactly to use it either. "So, whose got the best dance partner?" I tease, inspecting my makeup to make sure it still looked alright. "Well Patrick sure knows some moves, and I don't mean only the Kaner Shuffle." Frankie says, reapplying her lipgloss. Jessa just gives me a look, I instantly knew she was having a good time. "Shaw's pretty good." Is all Lilly says, her cheeks flushed red. "I can definitely say, the Captain isn't as serious as he may seem." I say, running my hands through my now messy hair. On that note, we exit and go back to the boys. I get excited when the song starts playing and it's The Other Side by Jason Derulo. For the past two days I've had that song on repeat, now I was in a club dancing to it with Jonathan Toews. Life seemed so perfect right now.

Once the song is over, we walk towards the exit to get some fresh air before we actually leave. Jessa however, is still having fun dancing so we let her be for a little longer. Jonathan, Andrew and Patrick follow us out, and we all take a seat on the curb in front of the club. They seemed a bit more sober now, considering we had been too busy dancing to get more drinks.

"So..." I say, breaking the silence. I'm still looking down at my hands, messing with the ring I had on. "Are you from around here?" Jonathan asks, starting the conversation. "No, I actually live in a small town in Indiana." I respond looking up at him with a smile. "It's pretty boring, but us girls make it fun." I say, a small giggle escaping my lips. Jonathan laughs with me, and I notice a certain sparkle in his eyes I've never noticed before.

Once Jessa joins us, I decide to wrap up the conversation, not like I wanted to though. He's a really easy person to talk to, regardless if he's still a bit wasted. Right as we're about to leave, I feel a hand grasp onto my arm, pulling me back. The next thing I know a pair of lips crash against mine. Quickly realizing who it is, I lean into the kiss and kiss back. His other hand finds my lower back, pulling me in closer. When we finally break from the kiss, I'm breathless, and quite shocked. "You and your friends. Be at the United Center tomorrow before the parade starts." He says before going back in the club.

Hailing a cab we all pile in, excited to get back to the hotel so we could share the details of our night. There was one detail I didn't exactly have to share, since they were there to see it happen. Once we get back to our room, I change into a comfy pair of shorts and a tank top before flopping down on the bed purely tired. The second my head hits the pillow, my eyes can hardly stay open. We could gossip in the morning I guess. Yawning widely and audibly, I slip under the covers and fall asleep almost instantly. Not before I say goodnight though, more like whisper shout but still. I couldn't wait for tomorrow morning. I could only wonder what's in store for us when we get to the United Center.

So I hope you liked this chapter! It gets a little rushed at the end, but it's like 2 am now so that explains why. I really wanted to get this chapter out, even though it was going to include the parade originally I thought this was a good place to cut it off. The chapter with the parade will be posted within a day or two. I'm iffy about this chapter, I just wanted something to happen so I made a kiss happen :3 I tend to rush things but it seemed alright considering the situation. On that note, Vote and Comment if you liked it!
