At the Waiting Shed [Haikyuu!!]

[1/10] It was Raining

The chocolate haired boy surrendered himself to the soft confines of his bed headfirst and before he knew it, he immediately fell asleep.

After all, Iwaizumi reminded him to sleep as soon as he was finished watching the recorded match of the team they were facing tomorrow.

The skies threatened everybody of the coming rainfall. People started to pace faster towards their destination.

But Oikawa wasn't even half close to school.

"Iwa-chan's going to kill me!" Oikawa whined as a horrible image of Iwaizumi appeared in his mind. The thought of him sent chills to his spine that he didn't notice a droplet of water roll down his cheek.

Beads of water littered around his hair. He didn't mind a bit of the rain but the more steps he took, the rain got worse and worse until he was forced to take shelter in a nearby waiting shed.The shed was in front of a park filled with trees.

Oikawa didn't dare to leave the shed. If he caught a cold because of the rain, Iwaizumi was going to be so mad at him.

But then he might scold Oikawa for not bringing an umbrella with him.

"Damn! I should've checked the weather channel before I left" he mused in his mind. "I would've brought an-"

"Umbrella..."

Oikawa flinched at the voice. Did someone just read his mind?

He mechanically turned around, animatedly, slowly and cranky, he looked like some kind of robot.

It seems like he wasn't alone but how come he hadn't notice her earlier?

"What?" Oikawa subconsciously asked.

The girl peeled her gaze off of her book 'MY BEST CHAPTER'. Oikawa thought the title was kind weird but he brushed the thought off his head.

Confused dark chocolate eyes met irritated big bright amber orbs behind a pair of thick-rimmed, rounded, red eyeglasses.

"I said, do you want to use that umbrella?" she used her head to gesture towards a dark blue umbrella leaning on the metal bench, her pale wavy brown hair trailing after her movements.

Oikawa blinked in response. She removed her gaze on him and returned it to her book as she added, "I'd like to prevent a murder from happening..."

The brunette sweat dropped. She must've heard him talking about Iwaizumi killing him.

He scratched his cheek and replied with a small smile, "I wasn't literally talking about someone killin-"

"Take it or leave it?" she interjected.

She was being so mean to him! Wait...

.

.

.

.

.

That was new.

It was usually Iwaizumi who got mad at him. She was probably the first girl who looked annoyed at first sight of him.

"The person who's going to pick me up told me she's almost here" she told him without getting rid of her attention on the book.

Oikawa blinked once again and a familiar ringtone reached his ears. He took out his phone from the pocket of his sports bag.

"Hai-"

"OI TRASHYKAWA WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!"

Oikawa instinctively distanced his phone from his ear. He didn't want to go deaf at a young age.

"Ah Iwa-chan! I got caught in the rain and I-"

"DON'T TELL ME YOU FORGOT TO BRING AN UMBRELLA WITH YOU?!" Iwaizumi yelled.

"How unpleasant" the girl muttered to herself, aggravated by the nuisance with her.

She heard a sigh and caught sight of the boy take the umbrella.

"Can we meet here again?"

Her eyes narrowed. Oikawa's shadow completely engulfed her. She raised her head to meet his gaze.

"I need to return this you know" he added and had this cute worried look on his face which made a tick mark appear on her forehead.

"Yeah whatever" she replied, her focus back on the book once again. "Get out of the way. You're blocking the light"

Oikawa wanted to respond until he heard his phone started to ring again. He nervously put the umbrella up and took long strides towards the school.

She watched him until he took a sharp turn to the right and disappeared.

"Fuyukai desu" she told herself, her fingers dug on book she was reading. "Bad move"

She slapped her palm on her forehead in frustration.

Fuyukai desu, for those who don't know, means 'How unpleasant'.

The name of the girl will be introduced in the next chapter. :D Did Oikawa and Iwaizumi act out of character?

Also this might look like a crossover with an anime since I'm inspired by it.
