Chaper 1 (Kendalls POV)

Wake up Kendall! KENDALL! I open my eyes and everything is blurry. I rub the fuzz from my eyes and look at my mom (Jill). C'mon Kendall you have to get ready they are about to pull everyone to see the beginning of the 100th hunger games. I look surprised and remember the announcement is today. I get up from my blue old creaky bed and walk to the closet.
5 minutes later...
I walk out dressed with messy hair. My mom yanks me to sit and braids my hair. I look in the mirror and all I see is a young, pale teenager that could possibly be called today.
My mom yells my name as she opens the door we leave and head toward the center of district 13.
10 mins later...
I meet up with Maddie and Kenzie and soon Kalani and Nia. We all look worried because we are all the eligible age. We stop and the fancy lady stands up proper on stage taps the mic and begins.
"Hello everyone"
"This is going to be the biggest hunger games yet!"
"We will have 5 teenagers only from each of boys and girls only from district 13!"
"Men first" she says in a stuck of voice.

I walk up to stage where the rest of my friends are.
