I stood there. Alone at the edge of the town. No one was there except for me, and that's all that I wanted. I was ready to leave. No one could stop me. I was unstoppable. That's when I heard the soft footsteps. The ones I didn't want to hear. The only ones that could stop me from my inevitable fate. I didn't turn around, I didn't want to see her blue face, mane, and eyes. I just wanted to leave, and I knew that she wouldn't let me. "You okay?" Her optimistic voice made no difference as the darkness widened within me as I replied, "No." The expected answer, "What's wrong?", came soon after. Finally, I turned to look WinterStorm straight in the face, as I replied, "Everything. Everything's wrong." Her previously happy-looking face turned to a sad frown. I continued my explanation, simply with, "It isn't how it should be, and it's all my fault." She replied this time with a sad, sympathetic tone, "It wasn't your fault. You know that. You need to stop blaming yourself for something that someone else did." This set off a twinge of anger which influenced my reply, "It was me! I put no blame on him and the others. It was me who continued. Me who--" She interrupted me halfway through, "Who persevered! You carried on despite what everyone said! It was you who stood up for them! No one else did! You were blamed for the bad when all you were doing was good!" My reply was short, yet meaningful as I walked closer towards the Everfree Forest, "It doesn't change my past. Please, Winter, I must leave. And I don't want to see you get hurt as I do so." As I walked off, she saw the puddle of black tears that had been under me. Soon after her reply came quickly and pleadingly, "Then don't go! The past is the past!" I turned my head away from her, refusing to look into her ice-colored eyes. In desperation, she rubbed her neck against mine and whispered, "Please don't leave me." and a small, blue tear fell from her eyes onto my chest. Flashbacks flew through my head. The pain. The suffering. The anger. The tears. It all flew through my head, begging me to leave them behind, even as she begged me to stay. There was only one way to satisfy them both. "I'm not leaving you. You are coming with me." She frowned at every word in the sentence and replied simply, "You know I can't do that. Especially with, well, you know." The painful thought of what had happened days before, shot through my brain. I stomped the ground, and slowly, titanium armor covered me fully and a red orb hovered over my shoulder, "Are you coming, or not? I can fix what happened, after all, I am the master of Time." Her hurried reply showed her distaste of the thought, "You're going to reverse time? Erase what happened?" I scoffed and replied, "No. I'm going to make the future come faster, so I don't have to chug my way through it." Her eyes became sad again as she realized how much what she'd done had affected me, "I know it hurt you. I didn't want it to. I didn't even want to--" I interrupted her this time, "But you did. Just like you can't change your past, I can't change mine. Ironic enough?"
