"So, this is the legendary Herot," Beowulf said walking up the steps to an old abandoned mansion with a Japanese style roof and a pond.

"Someone has been here recently its too well kept up," he muttered to himself. "You can come out; I'm only here to investigate the disappearances."

"I already talked to you guys," yelled a middle-aged man pointing an angry glare and shotgun at Beowulf "I never did anything."

"I'm not part of the police, or at least not the ones you know about,"Beowulf replied raising his arms, "I'm agent Beowulf of the international investigation corps. We have reason to think a high-level world-criminal is a part of the past 'incidents and if you continue to point that at me I'm going to have to debilitate you.'"

"Show me an ID then maybe," said the man.

"You wouldn't be able to read it," replied Beowulf, his dark jacket flapping in the wind.

"Then you're going to get shot,"

"Fine here it is," Beowulf walks over to the man and hands him a slip of paper.

"This is just a circle with a bunch of lines and curves in it," yelled the man, "This ain't no ID its just a drawing." The man tears the slip of paper in half and points the gun back at Beowulf.

"Renathgul,"said Beowulf "Now, who are you?"

"Oh,I'm just the groundskeeper Garwuin. Hrothgar, the owner of the hall, has been away ever since the first incident."

"All right, Garwin, why are you taking care of this place even though it is abandoned?"

"Hrothgar wants me to keep it nice just in case something happens for him to need it again."

"Well Garwuin, I need to do some work here. So, may you please go back home for the day?"

"Okay, see you,"Garwuin said walking to the gate."

Beowulf walks to the door and opens it "Guys, you don't have to augment my charm that we might need some extra magic in case Grendel is not what we think he is."

"How could he not? Did you not see how angry that guy was," asked a faintly visible samurai.

"Yes but there are other types of monsters that can cause ire,"replied Beowulf, "Now you guys keep watch while I channel my chakra and gather my chi and mana."

"All right Joe you and I will take the first shift," said the samurai pointing to another spirit, this one dressed like s mutated cold era soldier.

As the spirits watch over him Beowulf moves to the center of the ballroom and starts opening and closing them, Starting from his crown down to his base loosening them up for what will be required of them for the battle ahead. Then he meditates in preparation for the beast to come. The grandfather clock strikes once. A loud growl resonatesthroughout the building, the spirits all jerk to consciousness andBeowulf unflinchingly stares forward. It strikes a second time. The floor rumbles as a giant figure approaches. A third time, a crashsounds throughout the hall knocking china plates to the ground, smashing them on the ground. By the fourth strike, ten of the spirits formed a pentagram and the last four rushed towardBeowulf.

"No,stand down I can feel him and I am easily as dangerous as he alone. I do not need any weapons nor protection excepting my own power,"said Beowulf.

It is now the sixth strike and complete silence has depended apon the place. There is no movement.

and no sound, save the grandfather clock in the corner of the ballroom.Seven, eight, nine, nothing. Ten, eleven. The air has become thick with fear and anticipation. Twelve, the beast bursts through the front of the hall and Grendel's long maw snaps up one of the spirits. He rushes for the human as a voice rings out

"Deus Ex Oki Teke Teke"

A pair of giant spectral arms shoot out from the giant summoning shadow one holding a Japanese sickle and the other gripping Grendel's arm.

"what is this magic," cried the beast.

"It's the magic that will end your existence Grendel, decedent of Cain," replied Beowulf.

Screaming in pain and fear Grendel tries to claw with his unhindered left hand into the shadow where the boy was but is stopped by something. The shadow is cleared to reveal a giant woman's upper half with the bottom half cut off at the hips still bleeding. The woman grips the beasts left arm and tears it off. Then raises her sickle and cuts through the beast's legs, but he is not there anymore his body has dissipated to his home realm leaving only his arm and a reverted Beowulf. Who looks around and says

"Now for his mother"
