Levi sat at the bench letting out a small sigh, Shitty-Glasses was off playing with the Brat, Commander Eyebrows was working in his office on the other side of the building and it seemed everyone that ever bothered him was off doing something

"Alone. Finally"

As his fingers rested on the piano keys, he didn't even bother to take out sheet music, and played a familiar melody that, although compticated, he knew from front to back and played effortlessly...he did write it after all! Although, he did have his share of help, he and his partner had been working on the ballad for months in any free time they got, which wasn't much. Tirelessly they tried notes and melodies until the song had a certan gracefulness they both loved. Playing the song always stirred up unwanted emotions and memories he'd rather forget. On the day of the 57th Expedition outdide the Walls, the day the Female Titan had killed four members of the Special Ops Squad, four people he held so dear he even considered them family. Gunther, Eld, Aruro, and Petra...it was just the day before when he and Petra had finished the song they worked so hard on, and he played the finished version.
Just the thought of that day boiled his blood, that Titan Chick murdered then in cold blood, his friends, his best friends since...he shook the thoughts away and focused on the snow falling outside the window. It was no use getting upset over it now, whats done is done, they're gone, there's nothing he can do.
Sighing again he focused on the music and snow, he tried to recollect nicer memories he had with his squad, but he could only recall their bodies, their all too cold skin, lifeless eyes, and terrified expressions as he collected their badges...he only had three...he was missing Petra's. His lip quivered and fingers shook, the meere memory of her made him shaky, and he loathed it. He felt like a child, a crying child as tears formed in his eyes, he swiped them away before they could make it halfway down his cheeks, but more replaced them as he relived the helplessness and despair of finding her dead, blood running into her perfect strawberry blond hair, he just let the tears flow. Fingers still dancing on the ivory keys, he began to sing, although his voice quivered and there was a hard lump in his throat...

I just wanna tell you that,
I love you so so much
But you won't hear it

I know, our time together
in this world
Has then drawn to a close

He choked on his words as more tears burned in his eyes, small sobs escaping,

Even if I scream
And shout to you
It's just no use

You'll never speak
Or hear me again

His hands balled into fists as he slammed them into ivory and midnight, creating a deafening cacophony of disorented notes as he screamed as if he was being ripped limb from limb and cried and cried with the force of a typhoon. After what seemed to be hours upon hours of nothing but tears and agony, he gradually slowed to a small sniffle and wiped his face with hus sleeve. He felt miderable and lost, but soon became a calmer, more relaxed state.

If it is to end one day
Then please, erase it all
Until everything in this life
Turns to white
