Prologue

     It was a day like any other—well, almost...

     You were in the middle of doing your favorite hobby when your phone rang.

     Happily picking up your device you asked, "Hello?"

     "Hey, [Your Name]—happy birthday!" Your best friend said with excitement in her voice.

     Oh; that's right! Why was today not like the other days? Why were you unusually happy? Because it was your birthday!

     You laughed at your friend's excitement, "Thanks, [Friend's Name]!"

     "So, a while ago I didn't know what to get you for your birthday-"

     "You don't have to get me anything," you told her politely, cutting her off.

     "[YOUR NAME] LET ME FINISH," you could practically feel her glare through the phone and giggled quietly.

     "Ahem, as I was saying. So, I didn't know what to get you for your birthday and decided to talk to your family and see if we could put in money together ('cause I'm too lazy to get you something myself and don't have much money) to get you something.

     And since that I'm fantastic and awesome your parents gave their full trust in me to take you to the—your gift. I'll be over soon, bye~!"

     You put the phone down next to you and thought deeply about what she said. Your parents put their trust in her? Pff—they're cray, but you were kinda excited and uneasy at the same time. 

~Time Skip to your destination~

     You tried to hide the smile that grew onto your face when you looked at the building in front of you. 

     "Alright, [Your Name]," your friend exclaimed, gesturing at the pet store as you both were entering. "You can pick whichever pet you want here!" 

     The bubbly excitement was all you were feeling right now as you looked the doors in front of you. Each one was named by a group of animals (Ex: Cat's, Dog's, etc.).
