The paths we end up taking have usually already been taken. There a the few. These select few are very special. They are the reason our society is still standing. They create their own paths. The pave their own future. Regardless of what others say, they keep walking. I often sit and wonder how they do it. I find it impossible to be that unbreakable. In the eyes of most, building your own future is like building a skyscraper. I went to a party the other day. That's where this whole idea came about. Every single one of us are on different roads. We're all going in different directions. Just like roads intercept, so will the paths we take. But, not always. Most times the person you love will be going north and you'll be going south. Yet, you never realize until you're thousands of miles apart. By then it's too late. What hurts is when you're thousands of miles apart from some of your closest friends. But, you can't afford a plane ticket to meet them halfway across the world. And, they don't want to take a train to meet in the middle. Nor do they understand the importance of doing so.
Life's weird like that.
