Challenge

"And so," said the teacher as she passed out the assignment, "You all have exactly one week, counting today, to get someone to be your model. It cannot be someone in this class with you. Make sure the person knows that they will undress in front of the class so you can sketch them. Any other questions? Good."

"Raphael," I saw Marie turned to me, "Who are you going to pick?"

"I have no idea." I said trying to think of someone who would agree to it.

"I'm going to call my cousins and see if they will do it. I'm sure one of them will model for you."

"That will be my last resort! I shall go to the library to see if anyone there is cute enough for my modeling assignment."

"Can you get me one of your cousins, Marie?" I heard my other friend, Rachel inquire.

"Where are your senses of adventure?" I said in a teasingly manner.

"Up your ass now, let's go call them." Marie said as she and Rachel walked out with the rest of the class.

I walked out behind them thinking. Should I go eat or go to the library? I decided on going to eat and got a wonderful grilled cheese. (What? I don't like meat.) I then headed to the library and quickly scanned the faces. They were all not up to par with my expectations. Maybe they had a book on how to find a model. I should go look. But which way? Who cares? Let's go down this one.

I walked down the first row I saw. My head was still in the clouds when Bam! I ran straight into another person. "Sorry!" I saw looking up and saw him! The person I wanted to be my model! He was a bit weird to look at. He had chocolate brown hair, but on the very top was a green stripe that ran all down his hair. He had rectangular glasses that behind the left was an eye as green as a meadow. The right was a pale blue that looked like the morning sky. He was wearing a shirt that was long sleeved with purple and gray stripes. He had on jeans that looked like they have been worn quite a few times. I kept looking at him. Now I know how people feel at love at first sight. This was it! He was my model and my lo-

"Hey! Dumbass! Watch where you are going!" He spat venomously and stood up.

Or maybe not.

"I'm sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going." I said as I stood up. I was a whole two heads taller than this guy. I was only 5'9"! This guy had to be like five feet! I held out my hand. "My name is Raphael Artemis. I'm a freshman here at XX College!" I said. I looked at my fingers. I need to reprint the sparkly nail polish on them.

He looked at my hand, then looked at me. "How come you hair is that red?"

"Oh my hair is normally blond, but I enjoy this red better."

"It's like BOOM red not like red."

I smiled slightly, "Subtle does not describe me at all, baby." I said throwing in a wink.

"Don't call me baby and don't wink at me."

"But I don't know your name!"

"Sucks for you."

I pouted slightly. Then regain confidence! "I was wondering if you wanted to be my model for my class. Pretty please!"

He looked at questioningly. "Me? A model?"

"Yeah," I said softly and embraced him, "You are the only one I see that is good enough." Wow his hair is so soft to play with!

He went incredibly stiff. Then pushed me harshly away. "Don't touch me! You stupid bastard!"

This was going to be a challenge! But Raphael Lee Artemis was not a quitter!

"Please, I need a good grade in my class. Plus it will be really fun! And you kinda seem like the person who doesn't have that much fun. Like one of those science majors persons."

He glared at me with the anger of a thousand suns. He raised his middle finger and grabbed his book. He casually walked and checked it out. Then walked out without a glance back.

I sighed softly. "I really do like challenges." I purred and started looking for a magazine. Vogue released a new one today!
